Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I am by nature pessimistic but I do remember being underhanded and taking down #1 Kansas 15 years ago. Stranger things have happened! As @smokeyhuntsgators said, we do have home court advantage. We need the folks there to be loud and involved.
Is Skylar McThree suiting up today😳😳😳?

Finally got our new TV moved up. It had to be rushed, since my boss had to fly out by Friday. Luckily got a great deal on it ($500) but don't have a set up for it just yet, so the wife will be clucking until I figure it out.

For reference, our old 55" tv is mounted behind it. This thing is a monster, but damn can't wait to watch the Vols on it 😍

...also thinking a rewatch of Apocalypse Now would be pretty dope on it..
So, 6"!makes a big difference. 👀

We recently swapped out 49" for 55". Wife says she cant see a difference. 1080P to 4K is noice.

I do remember that game quite well..We we’re very short handed with only 6 scholarship players available..Worked put pretty well!!

Start with the market rate, not the internal rate. If you can't find that information easily, reach out to people in similar roles on LinkedIn and ask them. I've had messages like that before and always been happy to share what I know.

The initial salary negotiation for promotions has always gone like this for me:

"The market rate for this position is around [present number and research on that number]. I believe I'm worth [present adjustment to the number and justify it with internal performance]."

You could be worth more than the market rate based on knowing the job, company, and not requiring training. You could be worth less because you don't have the leverage that comes with being willing to leave.

If you find in your research that their internal pay scale does not reflect the market, there is nothing wrong with telling them that.
Thanks for the advice. I'm working on doing metaresearch to come up with ranges, median, average, and what having a masters and professional accreditation add to those figures.

I'm mostly looking at internal pay (after all of your all's great advice) to present them with a breakdown of how we could save on our overall departmental pay once all positions are filled, despite my large % raise proposition.

4k is indeed nice, my frustration is with the individual services. Ie Netflix 4k is a $10 bump. Not worth it for how moderately we watch Netflix atm. And surely it will be default one day and 8k will be the premium tier.

We're mostly Apple+ folks rn, Severance and Silo are great.

O/U on three's attempted?
