Pretty funny considering the whole Grant Williams debacle where they traded Grant because Grant ran his mouth at Luka for being lazy at practice.

I have criticized Grant for his propensity for running his mouth, but he's always been a straight shooter and a hardest-worker-in-the-room guy.

Lakers taking the long view with the Luka trade. 25 year old MVP type player to build around in the future. Won't win anything the next 1-3 years.

Mavs taking the win now view. Easily the 2nd best roster in the West now. They have size, shooting, defense, and another superstar and closer with Kryie.

Both teams got what they wanted.

Their roster is better now than last years teams who lost in the finals. Still have perimeter shooting, still have a guy who can get his own shot and create for others plus you add a guy who gives you buckets in the paint and you improve your overall team defense. The trade most definitely helps them get closer than winning a ship.

Was clearly the best guy on the court against everyone except maybe SGA. Now you also have more holes in the starting rotation. Luka, Kyrie, PJ, Klay and Gafford was a good starting 5. Davis will slide to the 5 which will kick PJ out of the starting. And then you also slide someone like dindwindie as the starting guard. It’s a downgrade. Maybe you put Klay at SG, PJ at SF but then they’re gonna be exposed on defense
