Ya. It’ll be interesting to see the way it unfoldsVery rarely does the team that flashes occasionally survive the tournament. The elite 8 is usually teams that looked solid consistently all year or at least got their act together late in the season and were consistent down the stretch. This team can beat literally anyone, but I don't think we can be consistent enough 6 games in a row (or even 4) to survive March Madness this year.
We could get our act together and start being consistent, but if the tournament were this week, I'd say we get bounced the 2nd weekend.
...and Dobbs is going to beat out Ben Rothlisberger easily and become a Hall of Fame QB. You're in no position to question anyone's player evaluations.I've been totally confused by James Pearce drop in some of these mock drafts. He came into the year as a top 5 pick universally and now I've seen him in the bottom of the first round for some. It makes no sense. He played well this year and his physical gifts are unquestioned. Whoever gets him will get a steal. I think he's a bonafide pro bowl caliber player at the next level. Also wouldn't be surprised if he's defensive rookie of the year next season.
Right. Barnes has proven to be extremely flexible in adapting to the new reality of the portal in basketball. That’s just not how you totally rank classes these days. Barnes has adjusted to bring in more transfers because they’ve been developed and bring experience for the postseason. In both the 2020 and 2021 classes, he had top 5 classes. Springer, Johnson, Chandler, Huntley-Hatfield, Aidoo, etc. But he’s purposely choosing not to only go that route anymore.
There’s pretty good data that experience matters in March. At his age, Barnes isn’t interested in rebuilding and developing year.
