Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Happy Friday. I liked today's message. I hope it finds who it needs to.

February 21, 2025: Take this day to reflect on the goodness of the Lord. Instead of moaning and complaining about your troubles, spend time being grateful for your salvation and His provision and blessings. He is worthy of praise. Psalm 27:13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Imagine if 18 year olds today we're sent into something like that. . .
The Japanese were there for years before. Leyte Philippines, Guam, Marshall Islands, Guadalcanal, Iwo, and Okinawa were all similar 'crap.' Cant recall, believe it was Guam where it just rained, and rained.

My grandad has an Japanese officers sword someplace. Need to track it down.

I have talked sh&t for years as a Tennessee fan and lost. I like their attitude.

Personally I like the attitude too.

But we’re fans, not players. And this place is majorly anti-player. So many here had a problem with Kamal Hadden just bc he liked to talk.

If any player on another team is a talker and they lose, this place (+ Vol twitter) would never let said player hear the end of it.

Just finished the last episode of The Pacific War in Color……
One grandfather was at Pearl Harbor on 12-7-41 and other was in the Philippines.

It was “the greatest generation.”
My Grandfather was a prisoner of war in Germany. He was shot in the helmet and survived. They fed him water and tomato peelings.

Canada wouldn't have any of us
I love their work ethic back. Middle of day? Do not call! Busy, napping. 4 PM! Do not call! Busy, pancake time. In fact, do not call unless we have a scheduled meeting planned weeks in advance, that all 7 of us making this decision have signed off on. Then we'll need another 3 meetings to ask the same questions, but in a different way. All documents will need to be sealed and signed by two people. None of which were in the meeting. Seven months will expire before the Dept of Government Environmental Interior gives go ahead, at which point all signatures are null now due to pricing changes, retirements, and one signer is on Holiday (for the 3rd time this year, @InVOLuntary).

By the way, all of those are true events that I dealt with in dealings with Canucks.

Off subject, but this is great stuff
