Long term MLB contracts are stupid. Team usually stuck with with an under performing player for half of it.

Giving Jason Heyward an 8 year deal was crazy. He sucked well before that deal. .245 and 62 homeruns for 7 years in Chicago. IDC about his great defense. His constant 0-4 with 3 strikeouts and stranding runners canceled his defense out.

Plus almost everyone was using steroids during his era and he was still way better than his peers. Barry's one of one as you said. He made his at-bats must watch TV.

It doesn't get talked about enough that Keon Johnson is the most impactful, consistent Vol in the NBA right now. Starts every night for Brooklyn.

Doesn't help that they're pretty bad, but he should get more talk.

I had a discussion the other day with a individual who was ranting about how disrespectful he thought it was for Knecht to get traded by Lakers. After a 30 minute rant I listened to from him, the question I had what you think about Jaden Springer being trade twice and then released . The guy who proclaims himself a die hard Super Fan of all Vols didn't even know. Can't pick and choose which player you're going defend and rant about if you're a Fan of all Pro Vols players. Most don't even keep up with Keon Johnson. I bet money some don't even know how many teams he has played for in NBA..

ZZ is already our all time leader in steals and is 28 assists away from being our all time leader in assists.

Not bad for a kid who almost gave up on basketball after his senior of high school due to no scholarship offers. He had a few division 3 offers but division 3 doesn't offer scholarships. But he decided to play with his AAU team one last time at The Peach Jam in Atlanta and that's where Rick Barnes saw him play and offered him a scholarship.

Vols Basketball closes regular season at Food City Center at 2:00 p.m. on SEC Network vs South Carolina. Individuals should relish and enjoy watching ZZ and Mashack in their last game ever at home. Don't believe the extra year rule will be passed soon enough for these guys to come back.
