Hall of Famer Rick Barry shot 89.3% from the Free Throws line shooting the "Granny shot" ...

Rick was my favorite player growing up. Free throw style looked weird but he led the league like 7 times in FT%. He used to be dumbfounded that players struggling with free throws would ask him to show them how to do the granny shot and they'd start nailing them but wouldn't do it in a game because it looked stupid.

Well, my Pawpaw passed away this morning.

Former Vol from 1963-65

Was part of that first group to run through the T and helped Dickey to get the Vols back to relevance.

He was a colorful character and hilarious. I'll always cherish his football stories. They meant a lot to me as a kid and still do. Hanging out with him and the Swamp Rat lol.

Such a terrible 'second half' of his career. I really would have liked to see the records he would have set without the 'stumbles'. Though, those stumbles were predictable given the pressure, loss of dad, etc.
