Eh. Having worked in corporate America for 20 years, lots of people doing poorly at their jobs somehow manage to keep them.

True they're only a small part of a team's success though. If they started cleaning house at the top where the decisions are made and also cleaned house at the lower levels it would make more sense instead of JUST cleaning out the little people.

From an NCAA perspective it's the biggest upset in any sport when you factor in the scene (finals). It's not like App State beating Michigan in that case.

Gable was an Olympic champion as a college kid against grown-arsed men without allowing a single point. He had lost 1 match as a freshman then had gone undefeated in college/world/olympic competition for 5-6 years. He retired from wrestling after 2022 and returned this year for his final year of eligibility just for funsies.

Hendrickson was a 5th year senior who had to get military approval to transfer from Air Force. He'd had a great career but had never made the finals. He wasn't even the favorite to win the title BEFORE Gable announced his return. Then he went undefeated.

I mean I guess it would be like if a football team went undefeated in football for 5 straight seasons, averaging a 35pt margin of victory and not winning by anything less than 21, with a QB who had won 4 straight Heismans. Just utter domination. Then in the NCAA finals they lose to a team like 2022 Tennessee with Hendon Hooker in the final second. That would be the only football scenario I could imagine.

App state v Michigan came to mind but I was like , that still wasn’t even close. Very good synopsis. Got to give Osu credit to go out and get David Taylor. I think he will get Osu back to the powerhouse they once were. Maybe give Penn state a run for team title

I think that's what we are going to see. I felt like they did Coleman Scott a little dirty but bringing in DT was a homerun AND they retained Scott as Assoc. HC.

Ohio State was on top of the world when Cael went to Penn State and made a powerhouse. I think OK State is going to be right there with them in 2-4 years.

I found an old cassette tape of him in the first truck I bought. It had a plastic fishing worm laid across it under the seat for years, I guess. The worm had burned into the plastic, like someone laid a lit cigarette on it and let it burn out, 😂.

Wort is a mainstay in Jackson. Used to go there for burgers and to listen to Steam Powered Airplane bluegrass. They're from Knoxville, used to play rocky top inside the Wort:

Yeah, he was a pretty good guy. Knew him a long time. Surprised they played Rocky Top. He was a big Duke guy. . . but they don't really have any good songs about them, 😂

So let me see if I follow. I am some UK clown named JRod. Who has been in this site claim r in believe either 2013 or 2014. I follow recruiting heavily. Always get excited about landing big time recruits. Went crazy when we won a NC in Baseball. Talk trash when we beat UK in football and baseball every year. Contribute to the Volunteer Club. Have been a season ticket holder of football tickets for almost 20 years.

Yeah I am sure some UK idiot woild do all of that. Listen we get you are kind of slow. So let me explain it plainly for you. I want nothing more than for TN to win every game in every sport. O get pissed when we lose. I get really pissed and negative when we lose to an SEC team. See your tiny brain seems to have a difficult time wrapping your head around my criticizing techniques.

Did you watch our two games against UK? Let’s assume you did. What did you see? Did we play good? Was our defense as good as it normally is? No. UK had great success against us. That’s not being a UK fan moran. That’s staying a fact. Maybe you should stick to following your buddy JRod on Twatter.

Hopefully every single person who's ever been associated with S&C.

I don't exactly know what that tweet means. If they unceremoniously laid off the janitorial staff, yeah, okay I agree. But if it was anyone associated with the on-field product, I don't really care if everyone they fired was Mother Teresa off the field. It's professional sports. We are talking about one of the most competitive enterprises in the world.
