at the end of the day it’s still something someone started and told you what point to reach in the season was deemed a success. I’m just saying that could drastically vary from team to team.

Nobody has to tell me anything…. I don’t think a basketball season is a success without a sweet sixteen appearance…. an Elite Eight makes it a great year… Final is what every team is striving to make with a Championship being the ultimate goal. There are four teams that can talk trash to us bc of where our season ended. Kentucky owns historical trash talk but hopefully we pass them in the future. Go Vols!

There is some luck and plenty of skill in both sports. Different challenges in both as well.

i don’t hate Auburn more but I can see why some would. I was so pissed at our Administration for letting the Pearl situation happen. It will make me if he brings a championship to the plains.

Now the Bruce Pearl window lickers are coming out to play.

I wouldn’t call me a Bruce Pearl licker, but what he’s done at a putrid basketball job in auburn is outstanding. That’s not even debatable no matter how much you or anyone else hates him. 2 final 4’s at that place and the best record in the SEC the last 8 seasons is crazy. He fumbled the bag at Tennessee it’s over and I appreciate his work.

You could also make an argument he should’ve stayed at Tennessee, I could see both points. He shouldn’t have lied and opened up the opportunity to fire him but coaches, many of them have done much worse than lie about a recruiting BBQ….

Bottom line is he’s been amazing at a job in auburn. A place with no basketball success or funding compared to most everyone else. Danny white isn’t hiring a 65-70 year old to replace a retiring 70-75 year old. Just doesn’t make sense. I do think he would jump at it if offered that opportunity again undoubtedly. It’s not happening though

Thank you for passing along these words of wisdom to us. For months I have been struggling with an issue, torn about which way to go with it. But in just the last few days it has started to look clearer to me, what to do, what not to do.
