Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Like many on here I think they make Lane tell them no. Unfortunately I think they get him.

How much money they gonna pay? Lane makes $9M per year already. Highest paid coach is Kirby at $13M.

Also this Kiffin stuff is said every time FL comes open. Or AUB, or LSU, or Bama.

In one of the video analyses posted yesterday the guy said they were cut blocking all day, iirc. I was going to go back and watch to see what could see for myself, but never got around to it.

Speaking of which, I saw some of Lube U's game, where they were restricted to only a non-zoomed camera from the side. It would prolly be easier to see like that. 😂
Complaining and conspiracy’ing over our Ferrari not getting a lot of run on a loose track, up 24-0 in the 1st Qtr, is just another bad take in a long line of bad takes lol.

I've never understood why they picked the biggest losers in history as their mascot...the Greeks literally annihilated their civilization.

Sooo dumb..
So they should've chosen a Greek mascot...?

What about the Romans wrecking them?

And so on and so forth.

Every civilization loses eventually. Plus we're sitting here talking...Greek mythology as well...nobody real knows much about 3,200 years ago and facts.

In what parallel universe are you currently residing?

“Winning” absolutely is the cure. We simply need to do it.

And you playing fast and loose with the definition isn’t going to exercise any demons.

You do remember the finish from 2 years ago right?
1 of 7 is not “winning”
2 of 18 is not “winning”

You’ve been here a long time.
You’ve seen this before.
You’ve seen us take the better squad in, and lose.

I sincerely Heup & Co have something ready - and deliver a damn donkey punch.
I like your enthusiasm...but what the hell are you talking about? We did beat UF at home in 22, but we didn't "have our way with them" by any stretch of the imagination...it was a close victory that our defense looked like pureed 💩 in.

And then there was last year, which really sucker punched a lot of folks who were just getting over the BVS.

Don't be an ass just because you disagree...give your opinion as to why there is no reason to worry about Florida...you have good reasons to give

People will start believing when we start beating them on the regular, a little more than twice in a decade.
I understand what y'all are saying, and neither of you are wrong, as it pertains strictly to UT/UF...but, I totally agree with what OC is saying, as well. Winning WILL NOT cure sh!t for many here. All I have to do is read posts during baseball season to know that for a fact.

Next year, as defending National Champs, how many will be "concerned" about "arms"? How many will fret on and on, before a practically all-new roster gels? I can hear the "struggle" now. How badly will we "miss" Zane Denton, and hear about how Vitello should have done more to keep him. "Chase Burns" "Chase Burns" "Chase Burns". You two do know, that we would have won the SEC, SEC Tourney, and National Championship this year, if only "Chase Burns" had been here. "We desperately needed him".

Again...yes, we need to make a statement this year against Florida, to woodshed them and not let up, to rid ourselves once and for all of their stench, and their hold over us. I, myself, believe it's coming. I believe we beat them worse than Miami did. Throughout the years, dating all the way back to the '90s, most every single year, with the exception of a handful, they have held different advantages. 90s, whenever talent was pretty much even, they had the way better coach. Early 2005-2010, talent and MUCH BETTER coaching. Then we hired Derek Dooley, Butch Jones, and Jeremy Pruitt. Need I say more? A dead guy could have coached them.

Since the 90s, it's either been coaching, by a country mile, or talent they have had. Yes, there's been some years where we just laid an effing egg, and completely sh!t ourselves.

Those days are over. Not only do we have the talent now, I truly believe there are only 1 or 2 coaches, in all of America, that are maybe better than Josh Heupel. And, that dude is out for blood. He is a "make a statement" coach. Yes, last year sucked, we were much better, and played like sh!t; however, I truly believe if we had had HH or Nico at QB, they lead us back whenever we go down, or we never go down to begin with. We had many chances to get back in the ballgame, we just didn't have that playmaker to lead us there (85, surely you can appreciate that...the last couple of days, you have been right on point, posting about how it was last year anytime anyone criticized Joe...i totally agree...I love Joe and appreciate the hell out of him; but, he didnt have "it", and thats just a fact)...not to mention, some of the atrocious calls that halted ANY momentum we got our hands on (McGill, surely to God, you can appreciate that!)

It's time, fellas...it's Vader time! I believe, with all of my heart, our time has arrived, and not just against Florida.

Go Vols! Let's drag this Wolfpack Sat night. We win by, at least, 3 touchdowns, imo.

Not me! 😂 I didn't take it for granted that the guy in the video was right. And there's no necessary between that, if it did happen, and our man Pearce. I mentioned the video's unexamined claim in response to someone saying how the idea may have gotten started. I don't think the video guy mentioned Pearce in that context. Anyway, it's not a conspiracy, either way, unless you think Garner secretly asked them to do it, if they did do it. 😂

We were planning to rotate tons of guys, and we did. They evidently game planned to throw quick outs to avoid our rush. I really paid no mind to Pearce sitting out a lot.
