Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Are yall prepped for the Duke's Mayo Classic?

I hope Heupel doesn't let them dump mayo on him

The winning coach should get to dump mayonnaise on the losing coach. Or just the losing coach gets "greased" by the Duke's reps. The winning coach shouldn't have to take that mess.

Dumbest award ever.

Just refuse. Let the lawyers and accountants figure it out. Who cares if we don't go back

This really struck my interest seeing this stat, so I fact checked it and did some of my own digging. Nothing really substantial except that I think the 150 yards mark is a better indicator. In 75% of our losses under CJH, our rushing total was less than 150 yards. We have won a single game in which our rushing total didn’t exceed 150 and that was Pitt ‘22(that game felt pretty weird anyway).

Basically, if our rushing total exceeds 200, it’s very likely that we win. If our rushing total fails to hit 150, it’s pretty much a guaranteed loss.
If I had more time on my hands, I’d analyze how many often a low first half rushing yard total results in a loss vs a win.
