Absolutely.

I just doubt the staff thinks they "wasted" a scholarship on Staes. If they wanted a more Day 1 starter at TE they would've stuck with Dingle from Kentucky imo. Staes has a higher ceiling and an extra year of eligibility.

But like someone else said, Staes is probably already more well-rounded than Castles and Warren, (We may never have a better blocker/swiss army knife than Fant) but right now Davis is a better receiver and MK a better blocker. It's probably that simple.

He had the potential definitely coming out of high school but never amounted to much. Has never had over 400 yds rushing in a season. This is his 6th year. He was on their national championship team in 19. 2 ACL tears now and he almost transferred after last year.
