I’ve read blurbs about us interviewing Whittingham. Nothing indicating it had legs to the point of a booster tanking his hire...much less endorsing Dooley. Think that hire was the byproduct of him being the first not to say no.Hell, all of these coaching searches run together so much that it feels like folklore.
I like Banks I'm just not sure he's smart enough for ILB. Kid should be a RB all the way, anything to not see Jordan get another carry. That muscle flex Banks did in the 4th quarter bout made me break my TV. How the hell do you flex down in the 4th to Ga ST?
I believe the former is probably true but I also believe Anderson pushed for Pruitt.KV, Charlie was the one in Dooley’s ear in 2011 to hire Steele as DC.
Between Pruitt or Steele, Anderson would have preferred Steele for the position between the two available candidates.
Now that’s reality but we will have to agree to disagree and respectfully move on.

It might have been a scenario where he pushed for both and that’s why they were both in the final three. Neither of those guys were on anyone else’s radar so it makes some sense. Ultimately Phil had the final call and I believe Davenport had some say as well.
And let's be real here: we badly need to find a RB who can give us something in pass protection. Chandler and Gray are worthless as blockers.Tim Jordan was banged up. Oh no.... don’t put a running back in who came to Tennessee to play either safety or RB...... stop complaining. He is bigger than all of our backs. Obviously if Jeremy Banks is running with the 2s at LB that is where he is staying.

It was embarrassing, and we were getting pushed around all game. And it's not the first time he's done some stupid sh!t(see UGA game, see asking the crowd to get loud on offense). We've all played with a dumb arse who goes 110% all the time. Nothing wrong with it, but ILB in this scheme requires just as much brains as it does playing with reckless abandon.Well he had just made a good stop.... We still had a chance to win at that point. What’s wrong with celebrating? You know even though you think he is too dumb to play LB......
Edit: Btw he has retained an entire offensive scheme and also knows the defense (yet he is still too dumb in your eyes)

And let's not pretend it takes a genius to play ILB anyway. You can be a dumb sumbitch, but if you've got good enough instincts and physical tools you can be just fine. A lot of the mental stuff can come with experience. Instincts are usually just there or not.Lol the kid knows the entire offense and has obviously learned the defensive play calls and somehow he is “not smart enough to play ILB” ....

I couldn't tell you one defensive player who did anything right, especially linebacker play in the 2nd half. How long do you think he'll be able to get away with just find the ball carrier? So tell me the plays he didn’t play right? Besides the one option pass play? All the other times he played very well and put pressure on the QB.
God forbid anyone celebrates if they do something good....
IDK if he can fix it, but he's not sniffing the field on defense any time soon, so why not see if he can give us something there. We've basically only got 2 RBs available right now anyway.I don’t disagree. Beasley can fix that. He is a big bodied guy. Banks played well at LB so well that he is in the 2 deep. He brings the boom when he hits people and he isn’t afraid of contact. Doubt they are going to move him back to RB.
