I thought the hit on JG in the SCar game where his hand got hurt was textbook targeting. No call there either. Officials should be fined when blatant bad calls are made/missed.

That's their way of trying to dodge the obvious fact that they needed the refs to beat us. Otherwise we turned the season around in a monster way

I didn’t think the JG hit was targeting. Although I can’t remember if it was Alabama or South Carolina where there was definitely targeting on one of our guys and they didn’t even review it.

Yep. If players can be penalized/fined so should refs in those situations

Alabama hit was not targeting. SCar hit was mos def IMO. Player launched and led with his helmet. JMO but I think it should have been called and reviewed. It is supposed to be about player safety but they miss some really obvious calls.

I’m honestly not a fan of targeting unless it is helmet to helmet or launching shoulder to head to a defenseless player. I’m tired of football getting soft.
