We've got ourselves an actual football coach as the head coach. CJP is in a great position to get mentored by CPF. We have a great staff of coordinators that are great at teaching these young men how to play football. I am excited about the remainder of this year and next. This is a special time to be a Vol fan. It was hell going through the wilderness.

Right. That's what I said. That's the year CJP would tie with. BJ's best team. BJ's only winning season in league. And the only winning season in conference anyone here has had since Fulmer.

I'll wait to see. Chaney is definitely shifting the offense towards more slants and rpo. Iirc HB was supposed to be a prototypical qb best suited for a PA pass, deeper ball type of offense.

I like how Maurer runs the offense overall. I don't think it is anyone's job next year. Going to be a very interesting Spring!

I think versatility in your roster and playcalling is a great thing.

Which isn't that dramatic but bet it sounds good for recruiting. It's easy to underestimate how calculated even his simplest statements are.

Not apologizing for any previous words on JG. Dude played bad to start the year and if not for that we’re looking at 9-3.

However, he’s turned it around and if not for him we might not hold on vs MissSt, and we don’t likely win last night. I defended JG all last year bc this is the JG I thought we would see this year with an improved OL. I’m happy for the kid! Hope he keeps it up!

Also, what a great job by Pruitt in managing the QB carousel. That is not an easy thing to do without creating turmoil and dissent in the locker room! Player’s coach!!

I disagree. A Taylor just didn't get off the block many times. You are going to get called for holding more often than not on PASSING plays, not running plays.

Not option teams.

Last night Austin Price said that he thinks that JG will stay.

JG is not going anywhere and starting over in a new offense in his final year of eligibility. JG will thrive in this offense next year. Give him some blocking and a 2nd year in this offense and the kid will probably be lights out. The kid would have some ligit excuses. Kids are going to have a 2nd year of stability WOW

Was talking to my Vandy buddy. Mason is actually a good coach. Not sure Vandy can do any better. He has beaten TN three years straight, id give him another year.

If you think any play in which Bowden throws the ball is good, you are delusional. He has ZERO mechanics. It doesn't matter if the WR is open if you can't throw the ball accurately.

SMH.....it was a gamble...it was also an RPO where the run option was basically dead. If he completes that pass, then everybody is calling Gran a genius..

At 63 scholarship players, losing a boat load of seniors and the inevitable transfers, no way we get even close to 85 next year with the 25 limit. My guess is we'll be significantly under 85 at around 75. That 25 limit makes it take years to rebuild a roster. It sucks and is one reason the big guys stay on top.

I think it may be 63 available scholarship players. We have some scholarship players redshirted and a few injured.
