I agree - plus I think it gives him a chance to watch the defense and figure out wha’s what. I think it helps him “read” it when he gets in the game - he can play instead of “think”.
I think you nailed it. He came in last night, and he knew exactly what he was going to do.

I agree. But every time it happens VN melts down.
It's easily grasped because it's a general rule of thumb, an easy if false way to consider oneself to be smarter than the coach, and it attacks the coach, which is the main point. Bogus as f.

Prudence is the ability to make the right decision in a particular unique context; it isn't subject to rules. CJP made a prudential decision on a game by game, situation by situation decision.

It was funny that the first time he did it, he noted in passing that Spurrier used to do it. Prolly all the people hollering used to call Spurrier a genius. When Pruitt trolls it goes over heads of whomever he wants it to, pretty much.

You are correct. Uga and Bama both need impressive wins to stay in the playoff hunt. That being said I hope AU beats them both.
I'd be fine with that. Just send LSU: they're not on our regular rotation. And also, Saban is too vain to retire before he wins it all again, and I want him coaching so Cornbread can beat his azz.

I mean, if they are RS or injured they can't play. So I don't think it's dishonest for the staff to say "we got about 63 guys right now"

But again, I went by the 247 scholarship distribution page...so who knows how accurate it is and how many they list are even actually on scholarships right now.
So now he have "fans" trying to criticize on a brave new front? Spare me the details.

Edit: To be clear, I'm not in the least criticizing your post. Rather, noting that you appear, at least, to be responding to some strange new criticism.

Scenario..in 2021 we ascend back to the top of the SEC east, going undefeated, but lose a close game to LSU or Bama in the SEC championship game...but..due to the SECs reputation dropping over the last three years (pleasing the shortsighted dumbarses of VN)...we get passed over and left out of the playoff..

That would be the most Tennessee thing ever..

So...
(1) How many recruits have we gotten due to being the toughest conference
vs.
(2) How many recruits have we lost to Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Florida, Auburn being in the upper echelon?

I’ll hang up and listen.
Apparently you miss the point. Those teams are already upper echelon and we're not. So if their success draws eyes to the conference, and therefore us, it makes us more appealing as well. Your argument would be great if we were all on a level playing field. We're not. So until we get good again we need all the help we can get in recruiting. We haven't lost recruits because our opponents are in the upper echelon. We've lost recruits because we aren't in the upper echelon. There's a difference between the two.

I'd book that today.

I don't want Texas yet. That is a bad matchup..for right now. I would rather get Meechygun, a win over them is more probable. We need all.the Mo we can get.
Exactly......I hope it’s Illinois or Indiana. Easier games. Rather have a win than play a “blue blood” right now.

We need whatever gives us the best chance to rev up program momentum..That would be Meechygun imo. Texas is a bad matchup..right now..Illinois and Iowa are too ho-hum as programs, and do nothing for momentum other than an easier chance of victory..

I want Meechigun..the media still eats them up.
