Hahaha I love that episode. Honestly though I haven't met those types here. Far more normal folks, just chill and relaxed folks seem to be around here. I'm sure there are gasbags in pockets, but at least in our building, group of friends, and dozens of people I've met working here years, I haven't met them. Just a bunch of normal people, inclined to being outdoorsy, crafty, being religiously open, and love some beer. Honestly, I think the worst are the tourists that come here looking for that snobby foodie high-art sort of thing. Other visitors see them and think it's us.

But you are partly right on the hippies/artists. Sadly the artisans made this town what it is and they are slowly being priced out. But they haven't all left, just all in West Asheville or living 10 to a house in Montford. Black Mountain is certainly nice and still retaining itself. Love Montreat too for hikes.

Depending on QB play next year we could push for the East....but I think it would require whoever the QB is to have a truly great season for that to happen.
Yup QB would have to be all-sec caliber. Just not sure we are quite on UF, uga level just yet. But 1 year is a long time. At this rate, maybe, just maybe.

Josh palmer catch was definitely more impressive. I’m glad Calloway went up and fought for the one on one ball though

As some of you know my 8 yo daughter and I were on the front row in the endzone for both these catches. They were both awesome!
Sidenote: it's funny because in her mind she likes to rewatch the game with me to see if she can see us in our seats. As luck would have it you can see us several times in the game broadcast and replays on the SEC channel. So fun when the little ones get wrapped into our program like we are!!!

I'm on a 2 day streak for lunch HIIT at the Planet...

I've lost roughly 20ish pounds mostly from diet changes through our 2 weight loss contest. @Big Gucci Sosa props on putting those together.

Now I'm trying to get the cardio/exercise in. Have been super happy to realize I can run (at least for the intervals so far!). Not sure what weight I'll end up at, mainly focusing on the inches and look.

6'2" so I think I can carry 220 pretty well, especially if it's more muscle weight than fat. But wouldn't mind to be less than 220 if I don't look like a skeleton doing it. No clue if I can get to "abs visible" levels, but it's a goal...
Good job. And yes, you can

Going to come down to stopping Kelly Bryant.
Given he did not play against the dawgs sat, I'll be waiting till after gators game to have an opinion on if he is a worry given his knee injury. Hopefully the coaches are working on their D game plan if Bryant is ready given Bowden made us look silly at times. I will give our D big props for gutting it out till the end given being on the field the majority of the 4th qtr.

We stayed with wifey's high school best friend, who lives there, so we had an advantage on local places. But I def like art deco, and we dig the whole Wolfe and Fitzgerald literary thingee too. And the eats. So, unabashed tourist topspin. Omni Grove Park Inn fireplaces and the whole nine yards. Not apologizing.

You think Pruitt is better?

They are at least even at the momment. I can point to games where Pruitt best a team with better players and good coaches. Is there a game that Georgia has won that they really shouldn’t?

They got destroyed by LSU and Texas last year. Herman coached circles around him.

Rucker is a good writer but he needs an editor so bad. Most of his articles could be cut in half and would be better off for it.
Yeah he has had some good ones recently, but you're right it's tough to read through sometimes.

And really, with reading all The Athletic articles across various writers and teams, it's hard to even read VQ and 247 articles now. People call it "long-form journalism", but whatever it is I like that style much better. VQ and 247 articles just feel vacuuous and like they are regurgitating things we already know (War Room and the occassional Rucker opinion article not withstanding). Maybe if recruiting would pick up, commitment and signing day articles are still fun to read.

The Athletic probably has full-time editors on staff. 247 and VQ do not, and it shows.

This is basically what I said last night and @Bearwallow Bandit kind of disagreed but you said it better than I did Hank. I said CJP out coached Saban and I really think he did. Saban was supposed to win that game against us. And although he did, he didn't do it through coaching. He just had more talent.
