This is basically what I said last night and @Bearwallow Bandit kind of disagreed but you said it better than I did Hank. I said CJP out coached Saban and I really think he did. Saban was supposed to win that game against us. And although he did, he didn't do it through coaching. He just had more talent.

yea i feel a little different about the bama game. I guess i don’t put as much stock into it as some bc Bama is a completely different team with tua. Especially when they are starting like 5 freshman on defense. I think Tua was about 50% against LSU and it really showed. I think more than anything tho that game showed that our 2deep isn’t that much different than the big boys. Take the elite QB off bama and suddenly we don’t look that much different. Which is why i said there’s not more excuses for this staff bc we are comparable if not better than every team we played and to their credit they have delivered. Still have to finish tho.

Pruitt has grown a lot as a head coach and leader. I never doubted his football IQ but that’s like 1/4 of the battle of being a head coach. Now it’s just a matter if he can replace the previous staffs players that are carrying us right now with the guys he’s brought in. Idc about class rankings i mean obv there is a difference in 2 and 21st but i don’t think there is much difference in class #9 and class #15 as long as we’re around 15-20 that’s enough to win big if you have a good coach.

I'm stunned at this post, tbh. Maybe Hank is finally coming around.

Hahaha I love that episode. Honestly though I haven't met those types here. Far more normal folks, just chill and relaxed folks seem to be around here. I'm sure there are gasbags in pockets, but at least in our building, group of friends, and dozens of people I've met working here years, I haven't met them. Just a bunch of normal people, inclined to being outdoorsy, crafty, being religiously open, and love some beer. Honestly, I think the worst are the tourists that come here looking for that snobby foodie high-art sort of thing. Other visitors see them and think it's us.

But you are partly right on the hippies/artists. Sadly the artisans made this town what it is and they are slowly being priced out. But they haven't all left, just all in West Asheville or living 10 to a house in Montford. Black Mountain is certainly nice and still retaining itself. Love Montreat too for hikes.

True.

Northern hipsters took over.

Don't make me go bmp your endless talks with Kingston during the first 4 weeks about who we should have hired and who we'll hire next.

Love those fire side chats with Kingston. My whole thing was our players specifically the older ones were much better than what they were being cast as. The staff and some players sucked the first four weeks and they deserved bashing. They turned it around. I give them props when they deserve it and bash them when they deserve it.

I give the staff no excuses for Georgia State. Still don't blame them at all for BYU though. But I think development just took longer than we all expected it too. So people like me were more down on the players and you more down on the coaching staff. It took them a year and a half rather than a year apparently because now we're seeing it. Look at Nigel as exhibit A. He wasn't playing like this during the first four weeks. Neither was anyone on the DL. All of our guys are getting better.

Given he did not play against the dawgs sat, I'll be waiting till after gators game to have an opinion on if he is a worry given his knee injury. Hopefully the coaches are working on their D game plan if Bryant is ready given Bowden made us look silly at times. I will give our D big props for gutting it out till the end given being on the field the majority of the 4th qtr.
About 75% if the whole game! We scored a point a minute when we had the ball.

That’s true. A lot of improvement across the board.bc honestly at the end of the day virtually everyone thought we would be 6-6 or 7-5 Does it really matter how we got there if that’s where we are lol

I agree with the Tua angle. Reason I would say the Bama game was impressive was because of the state of our program. Everyone thinks we are terrible, which you can't blame them after our start. But for a coach to be able to go out and get our guys off the mat to compete with Bama into the 4th quarter is impressive imo. Then to keep building off that and start a win streak is awesome.

And I'm with you on that being 1/4 of the job. Hopefully he gets the players he wants and who want to be coached by him and this staff.

Pruitts guys are doing it too. Warrior was irrelevant until Pruitt. The offensive line minus Trey is Pruitt. The D line is Pruitt. Toto is Pruitt and most of the secondary.

The play where Bowden tried to throw a block and Nigel destroyed him and the runner on the end around>>>>>>

After the way we fell apart last year, i can’t believe they Have “righted the ship” after that 1-3 start. It really is impressive. Losing Kyle and shy hurt tremendously early on. Those two anchored our defense last year.

Hipster transplanting seems to be happening everywhere. Visited Nashville over the summer and it was unrecognizable. Especially that Gulch area. Thought I was in LA for a moment, minus the whole "your Mcdonald's cashier is an 11 and your female janitor is a part time supermodel" feeling.

You know what's weird. That property was available because it really was an unused and unwanted gulch forever.

In a lot of ways, despite the early pain, this way is better. SEC wins. We, or at least I, not having any trouble not losing sleep over those nobodies.
