eh. i think Tomlin gets more crap than he should, especially this year. and while i get that they're missing some big time offensive weapons.......the one thing about the coaching that does get to me is the, what seems like, inordinate amount of defensive busts, especially in the secondary. it's just not very good....and it's not always because of personnel. the 2nd TD Cleveland scored, the one landry caught......complete bust by PIT secondary. should never happen in the NFL.

as for Cam, as a panther fan, i'm torn. i've been a big Cam defender over the course of his career, and i can only say it was a lot easier to defend him when he didn't suck out lout. and the last 10 games he's played...he's been bad.

and the worry is here that if he's not back physically where he can use his legs...at least some...then there's real concern about his future as a pure pocket passer....which isn't his strongest suit.

and for PIT, i don't see the point in seeing one big, relatively athletic guy retiring, and replacing him with an albeit younger, but also aging and equally injury riddled, version of big ben.

i know this...i don't htink the Steelers or the Panthers have the QB of the future currently on either roster.
will share these with you since you are a panthers fan.

browns or bengals?
Used to be Bengals but it's such a bad product I can't support it. The only reason Dan Snyder is viewed as the worst owner is the NFL is because the Bengals fans are too apathetic to speak up. They are reaching a point where I can see ownership having to change or the team will be relocating.

You don’t understand how a hard metal helmet used to protect people from violent hits being sling as hard as he swung could be dangerous? Imagine someone in public coming at you with a helmet vs a fist in real life. You think he could kill you easier with the helmet or fist? Takes one decent hit to head with a helmet to be serious damage
Since when has anyone in football worn a hard metal helmet?

A sports talk show host in Arkansas heard Urban Meyer on Fox say that he thought a coach could win big in Fayetteville. He went on a 2 week rant begging the powers that be at Arkansas to reach out to Urban.
I thought that was funny until I realized the same thing happen to Vol fans earlier in the season when Meyer said the same thing about us.

For me when you look at the Steelers you lose your 3 best offensive weapons from last year, (Ben, bell, and brown) while at the same time struggling through injuries elsewhere like to Conner and missing on QBs.....but still in the mix for a wildcard is a very good job. They have a very soft remaining schedule so it wouldn’t shock me at all if they got one of the wild card spots

They got:
@Bengals, browns, @cardinals, bills, @jets, and ravens.
they could likely go 4-2 over those and wind up 9-7.

I think defensively they have tried to go ultra aggressive bc they know their offense is shot so i think that explains some of those busts but to be 7th in points allowed when your offense can’t hold the ball is great.

I think we’ve had talks about cam before, who in a huge fan of so I’m maybe a little biased but i think this year is exactly what he needed to totally shut it down and actually try to heal up. If he can’t get his body back then he should just call it a good career like Andrew luck did but i hope he’s healthy finally and would love to see get a fresh start somewhere and give 3-5 more true Cam years. Steelers, bears, colts, or titans would be a great fit for him imo.
well, they just lost to the Browns, and they got ultra banged up again, and no telling what happens from a suspension standpoint...so the next few games are going to be huge question marks. and i get being aggressive, but on that landry play i referenced, it's not like they sent 5,6, 7 guys on a blitz...two corners when with one guy leaving landry all by himself. just not good by an NFL defense that's supposed to be a lot better than that....with a HC that specializes at DB and on defense in general....

any who, i don't really disagree on the whole, given how this season has turned out from a personnel standpoint, this doesn't look like a steeler team that's capable of playing at a championship level this year.

as for cam, i tend to agree. shutting it down was the right thing to do. but his health and durability will be a question...until it's not. i'm a big cam fan as well. he gets an awful wrap, character wise....he's brash, cocky, and a bit eccentric..sure. but he's been a very good, to elite QB in CHarlotte and has been fantastic for the community here, and in Atlanta since he's been in the NFL. i'd hate to see him go....but he needs to get back to being as close to 2015 Cam as he can....that's not really debatable at this point, even for me.

Are you in Arkansas too along with @Vols4us ?

Imo, Garrett knew the play was over. But here's the thing, idc who started it. I expect shoving, wrestling and even the occasional fight.
But you absolutely DO NOT attempt to club someone in the head with a freaking blunt object!

Folks arguing that if Rudolph started the wrestling on the ground, somehow that makes Garrett less guilty...

I just can't even grasp that outlook.

It wasn't an "attempt" he hit Mason with that helmet swing. Garrett should be done for the season, suspended without pay. Mason should miss a few games as well. The Steelers OL players who were attacking Garrett should also be suspended.

There's no place for that sort of behavior from the 4 or 5 instigators there, zero. The guy who shoved Mason, eh who cares.
