Rudolph wasn't trying to get him off of him by tugging at his helmet in an attempt to pull it off. That's not how you get someone off of you. He also continued to chase after Garrett even after his OL separated the two, continuing the whole mess. Just because Garrett was more wrong doesn't mean Rudolph was blameless. He deserves some type of punishment for his actions.

Rudolph's immediate attempts to cast all the blame on Garrett show his true character. Garrett's acknowledgment, apology, and promise to do better shows his.

I've been around way too many good people who did one or two bad things to think that one action defines you. For reference, the Big Al stomp was WAY worse.

Honestly...it looks to me like he is just grabbing at anything he could get a hold of to get the guy off of him. Garrett hit him late, then just dead wright laid there on him being a frickin jackass..why is Rudolph trying to remove his jerk butt from deliberately laying on him by any means possible wrong?

I really do not understand this..🤔 And I don't like any of these dudes or the NFL in general..

I don't see things the same way. If he wanted him off, he'd be pushing him away, not tugging at his helmet. And again, he continued pursuit even after being separated.

Good to hear. How are they liking it?

I received a quality education there. The business college was and still is one of the better around. Top 20% worldwide according to its accreditation.
Received my Undergrad Business degree from Walker. Had a lot of fun up there. Ended up staying 6 years!

Here's the stinkin' video. (or not, the NFL just blocked it.) The initial hit on Rudolph was legal. Garrett dragged him to the ground because he thought he had a sack. He didn't jump on him or put all of his weight on him.

As soon as Rudolph hits the ground he starts wrenching on Garrett's helmet. He doesn't give Garrett an opportunity to let go of him.

Garrett returns the favor on the helmet wrenching as the offensive lineman swoop in to clean him off their QB. Rudolph decides to come back for round two and Garrett takes a swing with a helmet that would be felony assault if it wasn't on a football field. At that point Rudolph decides he's had enough and petitions the refs to intervene.

Garrett is clearly in the wrong with the helmet swing. At no point prior to that did Rudolph attempt to disengage. Garrett made a mistake. Rudolph won a stupid prize.

The only heroes in this situation are DeCastro, Pouncey, and the Browns player who knocked Rudolph on his ass during the melee.

Good stuff - nobody got in a hurry to leave that I knew. A fun, college experience without too much temptation. I ended up going across the river to Memphis to do my grad work. I knew quite a few upper level managers around the delta that always recruited there. All of them told me they thought highly of ASU grads.

A younger friend from east TN went down the road to Williams Baptist in Walnut Ridge to play soccer. Spent his spare time and weekends in Jonesboro and loved it.

I don’t understand why you would suspend garret for more than a few games(5 max). Everybody on national news talking about “he could of done this to Mason” with swinging the helmet and hitting him in the head. No ****. You can punch someone and end their life as well. Stop playing the what if game. It brings nothing to the conversation.

I’m not a browns or Garret fan.

Also, Mason Rudolph should be suspended as well. This all started because of him being frustrated with Garret taking him to the ground trying to get a sack. I’m not sure Garret knew he had let go of the ball. You can clearly see Mason trying to rip Garret’s helmet off.

You’re an idiot.

Why do you hate Rudolph?

He tried to beat his brains out with a helmet. Case closed.

Maybe they should kick that Rudolph guy out of the league due to perceived bad character?

Nah. I'm just trying to say that there's the event, in which Garrett did something for which he deserves to be suspended indefinitely. Then there's all the context around the event, where Rudolph has consistently gotten to be both a d-bag and the victim and get off scot-free.
