Your saying most of the money being bet is placed on Mizzou, yet the opening morning line of -6 is already shaved down to -5? I looked on Bovada a little while ago, and it was -4.5. If this is true, then I think this is what Bruinvol called a reverse something (obviously I don’t gamble). This is Vegas saying that although the money is coming in on Mizzou, we still think TN wins and therefore they change the line the opposite of where the money is being bet. Is that right, @BruinVol?

Yes I’m not sure the op is right about most of the money being on mizzu. But if that’s accurate the books are trying to get more $ bet on mizzu which is good for us

I just can’t see that line getting a public bet on mizzu

My thoughts on Missouri. Very close, very tough game at night. Our offense is not consistent enough, IMO, to let us pull away from them. Their defense is at least solid, though the bye week will help us. I also doubt Bryant is 100% and that could help us. I think we win in a close one, but it will take a crazy play or two or maybe some TO for us to win by 14 or more.

Things truly were built different years ago. Can't tell you how many older houses I flipped that had working water heaters, garbage disposals, HVAC and so on, 10 - 20+ plus years old.

It was *relatively newer homes that I always expected to replace those items.
We've become a disposable society. Pun intended.
We dropped a pretty hefty amount of money for new appliances three years ago. We have had issues with 3/4 of them. I think that things are built to look nice, have lots of features and to break sooner rather than later.

10-2 next year is possible depending how the chips fall. I think Oklahoma will be beatable. Georgia *should* be the best team in the SEC on paper. I'm not sure what kind of team Florida will field next year but seeing them against Mizz gives me some hope. I feel like Bama is starting to go downhill. Even so, they're still stacked.

Could be a good year for our Vols.
Is Trask back? I think he is. That will make them at least pretty good. Mullen can really develop QBs. I think that their OL will be better, but they will be a little weaker on D. Of course, every year I think that they will be a little weaker and they never are.

Honestly, as bad as Vandy is, I still expect a tough, tight game with them. Nothing has or will come easy for this years team I suspect.

ESPN Power Rankings:

14. Tennessee Volunteers (3-0)
Previous ranking: Unranked
This week: vs. Alabama State (Wednesday)

I wasn't as high on Tennessee as some in the preseason, as there were major questions about the Volunteers' frontcourt and how they were going to replace Grant Williams and Admiral Schofield. Jordan Bone was another key personnel loss, but freshman Josiah-Jordan James was a capable replacement on the perimeter. Well, Rick Barnes certainly found his new frontcourt in Yves Pons and John Fulkerson. The junior duo went toe-to-toe with Washington's top-10 tandem of Isaiah Stewartand Jaden McDaniels and helped lead the Volunteers to an impressive 13-point win over the Huskies in Canada. Pons and Fulkerson combined for 29 points and nine rebounds. With Tennessee's backcourt as good as expected, the Volunteers are absolutely a threat in the SEC once again.
Awesome. Not even going to lament over Blackshear anymore.

I heard a media person say this last week and at first I didn’t buy it but I’m starting to think he’s right

He said if ga state/BYU didn’t happen we wouldn’t have beaten the SEC teams we did. His thought was it was those awful losses that got this teams attention and allowed them to grow. I think I agree
We will never know, but it's definitely possible.

Lots of places rush out opening lines, but place really small limits on them to reduce their exposure and use it basically as marketing to try to get new players. Most of the major books opened up the line at -4/-4.5, so the public seems to be backing Missouri mostly right now

I think the line is down to -4 now.

Edit: Bovada is at -5 now
