Typical orange glasses guy that's happy with whoever we recruit -

Then wonders why we have to beat Missouri or Vandy to get to a bowl game
I am a very proud orange glasses guy. I love every single one of our signees. They have committed to being here for the next 3-5 years to sweat and work to make themselves better players and people and to make my university a better place. While I wish that they all would grow and develop into fantastic football players, in the end, that does not matter to me. They are Vols. They want to be here. I will be forever grateful to them. They contribute in many ways, even if they are unable to get on the field on Saturdays. If they leave for greener pastures, then I appreciate what they did while they were here. Some of them get hurt. Some of them get in trouble. I am still appreciative about the folks who get in trouble as long as they are not hurting anyone else. If they fail some drug tests and get kicked off the team, I am still glad that they came here and contributed what they did. These are life-changing decisions for the most part, and these kids are making the same one that I did. I did not play football, of course, but I chose to attend the University of Tennessee. They are kindred spirits. We should all appreciate them. Thank you for your time and attention.

Any of the players hill or the others could have been put on scholarship from the start

The issue is they all are supposed to count against the 25 class number by rule if put on $ so soon

This discussion is how we might be skirting around that rule. My guess is that those 3 players are only going to get money in the spring and that’s it
I know it’s happened with rising seniors who earned scholarships. Never seen your theory tested where a Vol player got a scholarship for only one semester and never again...got an example?

Thank you for your service to Volnation! This is what it's all about! Like I told someone the other day, I wear my orange glasses proudly as orange blood flows through my veins.

I do hate it for any player who gets injured but am I the only one that thinks Tua would be average on any other team?

I think he's definitely better than average but when any team manages to pressure Bama, he looks a lot more like other good/decent QB's.

Really don't like that this happened to him but no more so than the other players that have dealt with major issues. Not Tua's fault but the media has made the situation ridiculous, to me anyways.

It’s my opinion that Mizzou and Vandy have a good old fashioned A whippin’ coming. I haven’t felt like this about a team in a long time. Not even during the Dobbs era.

And if I could pinpoint one moment that it all began, it was the run against Bama when the Oline pushed Jordan an extra 8-10 yards and came off that play fist pumping and flexing. At that moment, it was on.

Any ideas as to the news that is supposed to come out today? Someone posted a tweet yesterday that TN football would be receiving some kind of news today.

That was the moment the little gaps in my beard filled in, my teeth whitened a little, and my 9 year old stopped responding to questions with “gobble”.

It was truly a magical time

Henry T is going to be one of the best players in the SEC. He puts on more muscle in off season and look out. Hits like a truck now.

I just wish we had him legit help, like a Sewell or a smalls not taking away from what we have but damn if we hauled those two in we would have a legit scary defense.

I’d be happy with JJ looking like he knows his assignments first
He's a redshirt freshman who the coaches are starting to see in practice. His in game reps have started going up the last several weeks. Coming off the bye week he has the opportunity to finish the season strong and head into next year with some confidence.

Tua is average on ANY team if that team's OLine isn't holding up. When your Oline isn't holding up you have to have quick slant options ect. Some of Bama's plays that were called took too long.
A QB whose strength is that he can scramble can also become a liability in that he leans on that ability too much. The Bama Oline isn't up to par this year. We played in their backfield most of the night when we played them.
D Lineman are much faster today in a 20 yd sprint than they were years ago. The more your QB has to scramble the percentages increase significantly that he will be injured.
I noticed when Jalen Hurts played for Bama and the D was rushing him hard that he did much like Josh Dobbs did. When they saw that hole open up between right guard and tackle they didn't hesitate and hit that hole much like a delayed draw and that is where they gained their most rushing yards.

Mizzou is Pruitt's biggest game of his tenure, imo.

Agreed. Very big game for Pruitt coming off a bye week. We need to roll up these next two and then hit the trail hard before early signing period. They will have a future state to sell plus proof points from the second half of the season.

"The next game"

Is honestly Pruitt's biggest game, at least for this season. 5-5 with 2 games guaranteed left on the schedule, with the chance to play in a 3rd. Finishing strong now will help offset the poor start to year 2 and should help the 2020 class finish strong. Give good forward momentum into year 3 where the focus can begin to be placed on winning the SEC East.
