Listened to the Nigel Warrior interview. One of the reporters was a douche and kept asking about the past, and Nigel shut him down. Good for him. Could be a few guesses to who it was, Knoxville "media' is a joke.
The phrase they kept using and tried to imply that Pruitt used, which he did not, was "the light finally came on for Warrior," which is a backhanded compliment. Did they work it into the interview? Curious. Two different "reporters" did that to Pruitt in the Monday press conference this week exactly about Warrior. CJP felt compelled to say at one point, "I didn't say that. You said it. Don't put words in my mouth."* Then he ended the press conference rather quickly thereafter. So they've hatched this over the course of several days. I guess it's the best way they can up with right now to hurt the team, since Warrior is getting better every week.
* Approximate but very close; from memory.
You don’t get initial counter spots (25) back when a player transfers out like Murphy, jones, gray or Reid.
That’s not how it works
2019 we had 22 out of 25, McBride medically retired BEFORE the season. That leaves 4 initials to the 2019 class.
Which has nothing to do with the guys who transfered out, they'd only be "counters" towards the 85.
But in the fall won't they be past the one year residency requirement allowing them to stay on scholarship and not count toward the 25 but only the 85?I don’t think the 3 guys count toward the 25. I want to know what rule we are using
To pull it off. I love trying to know ncaa rules and want to know. The rule you guys posted isn’t it.
My guess from the start is all 3 guys won’t be on scholarship next fall and thus won’t be considered an initial counter. Just a guess
Honestly I am just trying to understand what numbers we are working with or at least come close to knowing anyway
