Did you tell him that Airplanes follow a “Great Circle” route when they fly? Which is in an Arc shape due to the curvature of the Earth causing it to be the fastest route rather than a true straight line?

Looking at others schedules makes me wonder why we even schedule these hard out of conference games. Seems to be no benefit. Other teams get to look a little better than what they are by scheduling crap teams other than SEC teams. I’m looking at you KY, Vandy, and Mizzou. Must be nice. KY would be lucky to make a bowl if their out of conference wasn't garbage and had anyone from the West not named Arkansas.

They schedule like that b/c they are bottom dwellers. They arent contenders so they schedule the way they do.

Oh I agree but could you imagine switching OU for UTC? I would feel pretty confident in nine wins for sure next year.

Almost as bad as when my poor Bearden Bulldogs had to face Oak Hill Academy (HS of Carmelo, Rondo, Stackhouse, Durant for a time). That Oak Hill team had 6 Power-5 D1 players including Doron Lamb (UK). They went 40-1 and finished ranked 2nd nationally. Bearden lost by 10 86-96 in a classic.

But this picture is forever ingrained in my mind as to the Herculean task that was in front of the underdog Bulldogs:

Baron seems like a smart player who is very athletic. Those are always the best.
