Pruitt is one of the best player’s coaches in the country. What is up with this narrative that he’s mean to players? The tug of the helmet and jersey pull makes him abusive? The players love fighting for him. JG and several players have discussed how he cares about them and makes it known through his actions daily.

It’s easier to blame someone else, rather than accepting consequences sometimes...

I’m sorry, but if Pruitt says Maurer’s situation was out of his control and the doctors were the only one to make the call.....why would he have done that with Kirkland?

I don’t buy it.
It’s spin. ESPN found disgruntled employees and a fragile athlete in denial of his own reality...and let them talk. Slow news...they’ll find somebody melting snowflakes to report on and move on. 😴

The annoying part is I can already hear John Adams trying to ask some asinine question about the article, completely out of left field during the next media availability.

I just hope Pruitt doesn't drop kick him on the spot.

@David Ubben needs to realize trying to hitch his wagon to ESPN when he's a small-time beat writer isn't a good look. Sharing the article is one thing, attempting to summarize it in a tweet and hit the "buzz" or "clickbait" points when it's to an article you A. didn't write and B. isn't for your employer is bush league.

Wow that’s huge. I can’t believe he’s doing that but let’s go!
Why couldn’t you believe it? Is he draftable right now? Maybe he never will be, but odds are higher with two consecutive healthy seasons as a leader on a now emerging OL. Don’t know the details, but how does he KNOW he’s coming back? He’s eligible to APPLY and a very good candidate, but there’s no way the NCAA has greenlit this already imo.

Haha, @Glitch had discovered it's magical healing powers on McGill, some time ago.
But then Mr. Glichtenwalter went into hiding, leaving McGill without a single fluffy unicorn in sight.
For shame glitch, for shame.

So right now the predictions are the Outback Bowl vs. Penn State or the Gator Bowl vs. Meatchicken. Which do we prefer? I say bring on either one. With a month to get healthy and prepare, I think our boys can take either one of those squads.

Outback Bowl would be awesome. Lived down there for 15 years and saw the Vols twice. I'm ready to return for a visit (and hit the beaches of course).

I know..that's why I about lost my mind after Vandy last year..Glitch left me high and dry..😁

I complained very loudly about it a few weeks ago when three or four rando threads got started in one day, and I was basically told to stuff it by the mod squad.
It’s reminiscent of people who move from a place because it sucked like Cali *cough cough* to somewhere like TX or Nashville. Only to try to turn it into the place they just left...

That is why I hate it...this ain't the dang FF..

It is one of the biggest and best differences in the two forums..we don't feel the f'n need to make a new thread for every vapid thought we have..

My half informed opinion, because it's the interwebz.

Really sounds like DKjr may have had concerns but the story never does mention him raising them to anyone.
He seemed somewhat intimidated/shook up with the speed and changes under the new staff. I kinda get it but ultimately, only the player can know for sure if the discomfort is above normal. And it's ultimately up to them to make the final call.

Only thing I may doubt DK on was his "would still be playing" comment. He, unfortunately, seemed to be very prone to injury. And that sucked because we were always better with him healthy but seems like there was a lot of injuries. Wasn't it him that chipped his bone jumping up after a play?

*and don't take those as badmouthing him in any way, not how it's meant.
