Y'all making me nostalgic for Kingston and Hank's morning "fireside chats". An insider's look at which coaching names we should be kicking around.

Maybe nostalgia isn't the right word. Nausea! That's the one. šŸ˜„
Now a different tactic: stir up the ā€œheā€™ll crawl to Bamaā€ garbage. First heā€™ll never win the division now this. Might have to put him back on ignore

He deserves a raise and an extension. Give him what he wants and lock him down. In spite of Kingstonā€™s thoughts before and mid season, he is the guy
I wouldnā€™t be opposed to a raise and extension. I thought Nebraska was smart to do it for Frost and Pruitt has had better results than him up to this point. Iā€™m very hopeful the last eight weeks are ā€œtrueā€ results and weā€™re going to build on it going forward.

I guess the calculation weā€™d have to make about that is if weā€™re willing to stick with him if we have a losing season next season. That seems improbable but not totally impossible and you canā€™t give him a raise and extension if youā€™re not willing to ride through that. And I imagine weā€™d be willing to do so.

If Lyle was able to get a raise and extension by underachieving, CJP sure as hell deserves one for turning this team around. Lock him and this staff up long term.

So, from what I can tell, Pruitt had the training staff wait a bit before tending to injured players, and he upped the intensity of practice.

how the hell is this newsworthy?
That dlatt fella is going to jump on this with both feet. He will probably tag Dan Wolken, too.

Every time things start going well, speculation arises about our coaches being stolen away by their "dream" schools. If only UGA had taken Dooley and Notre Dame or Michigan had come after Butch...

Yeah, I'm not gonna borrow trouble, least of my worries right now. Still a long way to go.

Iā€™m very happy with the SEC wins this year and itā€™s great progress. But Iā€™m not on board with throwing extensions and whatnot at coaches before they do anything meaningful. Give the man a raise, fine. But do not add buyout amounts or time to a contract before anything has been done worth it.

Iā€™m sorry, but if Pruitt says Maurerā€™s situation was out of his control and the doctors were the only one to make the call.....why would he have done that with Kirkland?

I donā€™t buy it.

Don't think I am going to be cheering Saturday for old Kirkland. He may have these feelings but why bring it up now? Can't you let the fans enjoy something for more than three days? Hate you @David Ubben

Kirkland wanted to avoid further injury to protect his draft chances. He wanted to focus on rehabbing full-time, not on anyone else's schedule. I'm surprised he's running through the T.

Back in the day, he may not have got the chance after this. Someone would've knocked him out. But quietly. Where is Al Wilson when you need him.

What would Pruittā€™s record be if he were coaching Bama this season?

@LA Vol Putting up number like we did vs Missouri in the pass game with an elite QB coming in losing our best receivers and Callaway looking elsewhere. What exactly is Tee doing on the recruiting trail?

I donā€™t think heā€™d be at the top of the list. But I also donā€™t figure theyā€™re going to have an easy time getting someone to take that job and follow Saban either.
A few close to Pruitt have said he legitimately feels like he's a better coach than Saban. Now is that true? Of course not. But for that reason alone I don't think he'd hesitate for a second to follow Saban if given the opportunity. Another reason being the obvious, him being an Alabama guy to the core. With that being said, by all accounts he seems to love it at Tennessee. One thing to watch in 2-3 years will be who replaces Fulmer. Pruitt won't stay at a place nor would he ever leave for anywhere if that school isn't totally committed to winning in every aspect. If they put some slappy in there to replace Phillip we're in trouble.
