We have always played competitive in athens. Harder to win in the swamp for some reason. The schedule actually sets up nicely next year for conference games.
Outside of UGA, we got our weakest opponents on the road.
@ USC (I predict they will be better but not by much)
@ Arkansas (still gonna suck)
@ Vandy (ditto)
Should win those and beat Mizzou and Kentucky at home. Already 5 wins. Bama and UF will both be beatable at home next year. UGA will be tough because it's on the road.
Forget about tough OOC games right now, we’re not Playoff caliber yet, it’s all about Conference games and standing. If we can one up this year and go 5-2 in the SEC, CJP will be SECCoTY and we will be well on our way to Atlanta in the foreseeable future. I think that is a nice stretch goal for next years team. The schedule actually sets up nicely next year for conference games.

They have a really skrong offensive scheme though too. If Riley is purchased or their new QB is no good, then sign me up. Riley with a good QB and it'll be a tough battle in their place. But agree we have a good shot regardless @cHiZzLeVOLIf we have competent QB play against Oklahoma, I don’t see them beating us. Our defense is better than theirs.
We’re going to need both: Elite Recruiting AND Coaching & Development. No, we just need comparable talent, our coaches to continue to develop them, once they're on campus, and attrition to stay low.
Yeah, I'd obviously like to have the number 1 class every year but, I trust our staff over 247, Rivals, and (especially) ESPN.
Yup, Clemson has made a living pounding on a terrible schedule and "10+ win seasons".Forget about tough OOC games right now, we’re not Playoff caliber yet, it’s all about Conference games and standing. Maybe we aren't being fronrunners? Pruitt is spotting undervalued talent and Smart is being a Butch.I was curious to see how 247’s in house rankings compared to the composite rankings. It’s easy to do this comparison because 247 publishes the full rankings whereas Rivals publishes only national rankings for the top 250 and ESPN for the top 300. I compared 20 of our signees (left out the long snapper) to Georgia’s 16 signees (left out their kicker).
On average 247 ranks each of our 20 signees 104 spots below the individual signee’s composite national ranking while they rank each of Georgia’s 16 signees 6 spots above their individual composite ranking. I really can’t imagine any integrity behind such a huge variance. I know a lot of fans thinks 247 is sort of the gold standard in recruit evaluations but I’m not so sure. I don’t expect all three of the services to have the same answer but no one should deviate that far from the norm. jmo.
The only way we’re going to be able to fix this with 247 is to beat Georgia on the field this coming year, in their house. I’m all in. I think we have the edge in coaching and I think our roster is better than some would have you believe. jmo.

It's unlikely but not completely out of the question Bama will have gone 2-4 over the last 6 games after they play Georgia next year.
