We have a Volvo SUV that did that a lot when it was cold. Assuming your gear shift is between the seats, one possibility I found was that if sugary drinks had been spilled around the gear shift they could get down in there and the sugar would harden when it got cold and lock it up. I wasn't able to pull the whole gear shaft up to fully clean it, but I was able to lift the cover enough to spray some contact cleaner in there and it seemed to help. It still does it occasionally but not nearly as much as it used to.

Oh don’t worry. He’s been saving up some monster poo just for the occasion. It’s ready to explode and go everywhere just when you’re at your most vulnerable point...which will be when you’re in the car and nowhere near your house or a sanitary bathroom.



I mean, not that it ever happened to me or anything.

I know my daughter loves me because she never did that to me.... Only other family members

When my oldest was about 4 months old, I had her all dressed in her UT onesie and down for a nap. I was sitting down to watch a UT game when she started crying. I went to check on her and she had pooped so much, it had gone up back and come out the top of her onesie. It was everywhere, including her hair. Since her mother wasn't home, I changed her and cleaned her up.... at halftime.
