He’s such a POS. I don’t dislike Dooley, and would actually like to see him have a nice career. I just think he was over his head here and took a job he was in no way ready for. I think, given the right opportunity, he could be a coach I would like to be successful say in the ACC or AAC.

Depends on how smart you are and how good you are at following instructions...

...but yes, you should be able to do it yourself. Ecobee has great customer support too.

I went with ecobee and I'm very happy with it. But if you want to do more all-in-one smart home systems, nest is the way to go. They've really built a whole system. But if you're just looking for a thermostat, you won't lose either way.
