We have a recruit avg of .9036 on 247 without the long snapper
And that's without Several not being reevaluated in a long time . @Bassmaster_Vol can you bring the list of all the guys that have not. That way we All can see that the average should actually be on up there.

45 Years Ago Today: Secretariat wins the Belmont in perhaps the most dominating performance in sports history, 2:24 time still stands as the record today. Secretariat *still holds* the course records for the Kentucky Derby, Preakness, and Belmont. Unreal.
I don’t think that’s accurate as far as the date is concerned. However, it is accurate that he was and will always be the most dominating racehorse ever. He was a superhorse! I love the movie, and get chill bumps and a little teary-eyed watching him smoke the field in the Belmont.

June 9, 1973 is when the Belmont was run, so 46+ years ago. Probably close to when @InVOLuntary graduated college.

Watching that video and see how the Vols were so happy and thrilled to be hoisting that gator bowl trophy brings back memories of the Dooley days when several of our players didn't show up for a game against KY because they didn't really care about going to a lower tier bowl. Times have changed.

On this day 400 years ago, the Germans bombed the Titanic ushering the United States into World War 1. Ended by the United States dropping two nuclear warheads onto the beaches of Normandy just after an invasion of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Don't forget, Elvis supposedly died that year.

i think the 95 Nebraska team would roll this year’s LSU team doing basically what they did to Florida.

1996 Fiesta Bowl - Wikipedia

They would have played tight coverage to choke off the hot routes, and Grant Winstrom and friends would get there before longer plays would have developed. And that LSU defense isn’t built to stop a ground game like Nebraska.

If we had time machines, it’d be fun to think about an all-time four team playoff.

Greatest team was actually the 1985 Miami Hurricanes team. Got to watch them play in the 1986 Sugar Bowl. They completely outmatched their opponent (at least on the first drive)😳

🤠🤔😁

Someone has been lying to me all these years. Dang revisionist history teachers.

Yep a great performance. It seemed like the horse heard the cheers and got faster as the cheers grew, remarkable race. Unreal that all the records still stand 46 years later..
