Speaking of which, I'm sure everyone was wondering about my absence yesterday. I took my daughter to a regional archery competition in the armpit of Georgia...Athens. When the competition was over, the coach wanted to get a team picture at the arch. He explained the general directions of how to get there, so we start walking that way. Didn't find anything. Turned around and kept looking...nothing. Went back the way we had come originally and still couldn't find it. Some of the others finally caught up to us and I was like, "where is it" and they said, "it's right there, across the street."

We literally walked by it three times and didn't even notice it. It was so underwhelming.

I've been to one game in Athens (the Jauan game) and I relayed to the board that I was so embarrassed for them when they started barking. Well, I'm just as embarrassed for them over that lame-ass landmark. Such a joke. I was like, I've seen the Torch Bearer and you, sir, are no Torch Bearer.

Honestly I can't stand TSL...

I listened the morning after we beat Arkansas by 21 points, for almost a full half an hour. NOT ONCE did they even talk about the BasketVOLs...spent the bulk of it arguing over something unrelated to sports. It's obvious the Sports Animal just coast with their on-air talent with few exceptions.

A benefit of having no competition locally I guess.

the only show i can listen to is Ainge. nothing else, and that show can get annoying pretty quick.

I can listen to Swain Event some as well, but I don't love any of them. I enjoy the VQ podcasts... I endure the GoVols247 podcasts after I fast forward through the idiotic intro and "morally, ethically, blah, blah, blah" crap that Rucker drones on about during/after every ad. But basically, I listen because Ryan Callahan is on that podcast.

i listen to swain every day, but he's not part of the WNML deal. they at least stick to talking TN sports primarily. and their takes are usually at least reasonable, and don't have the "filter".

i listen to RTI/VR2 when they do their pod cast together. and i'll listen to VQ podcasts.

the 247 podcast with Rucker.............can't do it. just can't. lol. i will listen if RC is on, but it's not appointment radio....VQ is way better.

Mine actually has 5. My daughter named her lol. Sugar's mom had about 5, and she went by Holly because she was a Christmas pup. Ours was also so my daughter named her Holly's Sugar Candy Cane Payne lol. Now she just goes by Sweet as Sugar!

I actually keep kicking over the idea of doing my own Podcast, it'd be Vols related as it's the only topic I think I can really drone on about for an hour at a time a few times a week. As evidence by my message count here lol

yeah, if it isn't TN Vols related, i don't really care. lol.

another thing about Swain's show that i like vs. anything on WNML is that it's not a 3 hour commercial. not only does WNML have a ton of commercials anyway, they spend good amounts of each segments, or have complete segments dedicated to, advertising and live spots.

i bet on a per segment basis, they may only actually spened about 5-7 minutes actually talking sports....less than that on just TN sports.

it's a Tennessee themed infomercial best i can tell......

and the callers....ugh. i think Swain's callers are much more well informed (and more entertaining) than most any that call in to any of the WNML shows.

One day I made the mistake of going down the Secretariat rabbit hole. Ended up reading all about the X-factor gene and how it was traced all the way back to Eclipse. Pretty interesting stuff on how they can trace the genes of horses back so many centuries.

Love that gif, couldn’t choreograph it any better. Totally jukes the first one who splats the wall, spooks the second and adds style points leaping over him with the spread, then ducks under the third one’s jump with a little dodge.
