in 2016 i got Cowgirl, totally diff personality but the same smarts, she is the most loving, affectionate, sensitive dog I've ever owned

We were going to adopt a rescue a few years back and were denied because of this. We live out on a decent chunk of land with a minimal of neighbours. Ended up just rescuing a mixed breed off Craigslist. Some dogs really should be inside dogs most of the time but many would prefer to be outside.

I kid you not, one of the shelter workers asked me if I would leave my child outside.

Wow! We are out in the sticks, and most people around here think we're crazy for keeping our German Shepherd indoors.

And wood floors too that’s no easy feat for any old dog paws!

Aww...that stinks. My cat Snuffy is getting a little up there, he is 11 next month. He has had no problems yet, but I know they will be coming not long hence, I am not looking forward to it. That grumpy old cat is like an extension of me...my wife says he is my spirit animal..lol.


What is weird is that I hated cats while growing up...was always a dog only person, but my wife brought him home from the shelter for the kids after our Jack Russell died, and we just became buddies.

it's just so hard to get there now. lol. we're making progress, real progress imo. but it's sooo stacked at the top.

when/if we get there, we'll have earned the ish out of it. lol.

Our dog Paco was a Humane Society rescue and was the best dog we ever had. I hate you and others have had bad experiences. Rescue dogs can be great pets.

Honestly I can't stand TSL...

I listened the morning after we beat Arkansas by 21 points, for almost a full half an hour. NOT ONCE did they even talk about the BasketVOLs...spent the bulk of it arguing over something unrelated to sports. It's obvious the Sports Animal just coast with their on-air talent with few exceptions.

A benefit of having no competition locally I guess.
