I just hope our team is doing their workouts and trying to get better
After this is over and the season starts your gonna see what teams really want to win IMO, it’ll be the ones that continued off season workouts and did every they could to workout and study film
May sound stupid but you might see a different champ this year depending on which team took this time away from campus as series as they could with the situation they were put in
I’m not Rusty but common sense will tell you that narrative is false. Otherwise, Arik Gilbert would have been a dawg. Rusty and Arik’s family are REALLY close. Kids in Ga rely heavily on Rusty. He puts on camps for these kids to get noticed. Kids from UTC level to UT. There is another recruit this cycle that is leaning on Rusty for recruiting advice and is a top choice for UGA, kid isn’t leaning UGA.
something i was thinking about yesterday as we moved to 21 commits, and the topic of attrition continues to be a thing, and likely will be until it's not.
we took several early committments from guys that most of us kinda shook our head at and immediately correlate some of those to a kid like Roman Harrison or the WR that ultimatley wound up at FSU in the first cycle.....
i have taken a little different thought process to it though as i've now seen what's come the past 10 dyas or so.
i think taking some of those early committments was, in some cases maybe, a strategy to help bridge the gap during the shut downs. no on campus camps, no all star camps etc....so how can a kid that no one's heard of get heard of in this environment?
well, i give you TN recruiting. we talk about the pruitt bump right....well, it has happened, and we've all see how often we offer a kid and literally w/in a week, some of our main competitors offer. point being...an offer from Pruitt and co. puts eyes on a kid that otherwise may have not been rated, or evaluated, by a recruiting service, or by other programs.
so i wouldn't be surprised if some of the offers we've made weren't made simply for that reason. that there was an understanding between the recruit and us that "hey, we do like you as a prospect, and we'll take your committment (for all these reasons), but definitely keep your options open....we can't gurantee you'll have a spot, but use this time to get noticed, take your phone calls and we'll see what happens at hte end of the road"
i think that may also help explain why there's a lot of "good will" it seems amongst prospects right now. and i wouldn't really be surprised to find out this isn't the first time we've done something like that....just might be a little more pronounced right now simply because of covid shutting the off season camps down.
or im fos.
Very true but QB play might not improve as much as it could if the inexperienced WRs are struggling to get open. Need Johnson and Velus Jones to have an immediate impact and help take pressure off of Palmer.difference is QB play. If we can get above average QB play, we will exceed those win totals.
i don't think there's any way around it at this point lol.Tony B saying gitshirts coming sooner rather than later. Gotta make room for the goons.

no way we're stuck at taking only 4 more, knowing we want at least 2 more OL and DL......another TE....another pass rusher....maybe another WR? DB?
mercy.
we need to open up probably 4-5 spots....at least. lol.
i can't wait to look up and see: TN: 29 commits lol.
