That has us winning the East, only losing in conference to Bama, barely, in the regular season. Has us beating Florida and ga easily. Good grief could y’all imagine?

It’s been a long time.
I can see one of those in a thriller/shocker type game but i just can’t see both.

That said if we do that then recruiting stays intact and in a yr Tennessee football unleashes complete hell on everyone and makes the playoff

Good grief he has us killing everybody. Where’s the confidence in this offense coming from? I mean, I’d love to see it
that's a very optimistic take by Dan...lol.

i think there's a big assumption in there, and it's got to be about the QB. apparently we're set there in this version of 2020.

i'm not so confident in that yet. less so than i was before covid. no spring...summer conditioning up in the air, no clue on fall camp....i was really looking forward to the spring qb competition and seeing/hearing how that was gonna play out. so w/out that, i'm not sure how you can really draw any conclusions yet.*

i get it, as far as the competition has to deal with it too, and many of our competitors are breaking in a lot of "new" this season too.....

i thnk 10-2 is the ceiling.....but if it's me, i'm liking that OU is really early...hate it's on the road. I'm liking that UGA is in November...hating it's on the road....

love where the Bama game falls on the schedule...we get a bye, meanwhile, we'll be their 8th straight game.... Love getting UF at home early in the schedule (weird to say that cause traditionally i hate that game being in september).

(for the first time in a very long time, i don't look at all 4 of those games and thinkg 'automatic L'....)

harder than expected game: @ ark the week after Bama.....just have a feeling that game won't be the cakewalk we think it is.

and i'm expecting @usce to be a dog fight again.

i'll settle at 9-3.

*all dependent on qb situation turning out in our favor. :)

We have a running game this year and a returning 2 deep of starting OL. Our receivers have much more speed this year.

So, as long as we can move the ball consistently on the ground we are going to have deep ball threats that will turn into TDs. I expect that is where the confidence in the O is coming from.

On the USC vs Bama thing, I thought the NCAA had already ruled that if the students were not on campus that athletics would be suspended. If that's the case, I thought California had already decided to make the fall on-line only.

Things could get real wild if some schools play and some can’t. What does thst mean for draft eligible players? Surely they should be allowed to transfer to a place that is playing
some speculating on that yesterday...my take is that yeah, they'd have to do something for the kids in programs not playing this season...surely they wouldn't let them lose eligibilty for something totally out of their control?

the problem is allowing the transfers, what kind of shape does that leave the program their leaving if everyone can leave?

2 things i thought about there...1. it would kinda work itself out, cause not every kid that enters the portal will have suitors....the teams looking to accept transfers will only be able to take kids based on what their current class and roster #'s will allow, so the # of transfers is already going to be limited to some degree....
2. you set it up where there's an age limit.... players that have completed RS soph or older can transfer w/out penalty. true fr/so, would have to take the penalty year. and anyone that stays at their current program, regardless of whether or not you entered the portal, keeps their year of eligibilty for hte next season.

you can tweak that however anyone wants, but there are options...could just say if you have usued 2 or more years of eligibility, you can trans fer w/out penalty.....that would give guys that are realistically able to be draft eligible after that 3rd year, a chance to play that 3rd year now vs. waiting....

the good news for us in that situation is if we did get JTD....he's playing for sure in 20.... :)

I think if we had bituli and Thompson the first 3 games we would have been 10-3.
classic TN footbal...woulda/coulda/shoulda.............................. :)

i kid...i do think that piss poor start last year will help keep things focused, despite so many things being "out of focus" this off season.....
