I posted something similar in the Endzone earlier, but felt like I needed to here also. Most probably don’t know, I’m a Food Director at a Assisted Living Facility in my area. It’s been a challenge and stressful,in the last couple of months (we shut down foot traffic in the first of March). At the first we struggled with getting Lysol, wipes and masks (even through our medical vendors), we still have managed (cloth masks have been donated by a generous person that made them). Now we are seeing the beef and pork (other things also) shortages through my vendor. I am and have been looking at protein alternatives. It’s crushing to me, not only are they confined to their apartments, but they have to settle for whatever we cook for them. This age group looks forward to their meals, I ask all of VN to pray for them. There is value in numbers.

Lol I understand that, but the whole nation is hurting right now for all of that food. Factories aren’t producing because of this BS Covid-19. Won’t be fixed until everything opens back up.

If it gets to that point, I certainly will let you guys know. It’s our new normal. Nothing compares to VN recruiting forum.

My dad is fighting dementia and counting on folks in similar roles who are taking care of him. So thankful for the men and women who are balancing their family needs while also caring for such a vulnerable group of people. Thank you @Orangeredblooded.

So, today I found out that a person I was good friends with in grad school passed away in a motorcycle accident.

Then, I log onto a zoom lecture by a friend. In the middle of this great talk on his research, someone hacked his zoom lecture. First, they started posting a bunch of racial slurs, and then after they got booted, they came back on under a different name, shared their screen, and started playing child porn.

Every time I close my eyes I see it. Trying to go to sleep and I just can’t.

Most f@#$ed up afternoon ever. Wtf is the matter with some people?
