Honestly I like the idea for smaller schools. Also the marquee match ups in OOC play are fun. But is one worth it with 3 cupcakes. Let's get some re alignment and why not go to an 11 game conference schedule. And give schools 1 open date that they can fill with a rival then do some re alignment. All games would be within a more reasonable distance and better games that fans want to see. Win win
Yeah, a lot of these smaller schools and conferences got too big for their britches because the TV money was so good.

It makes no sense that a team from Texas is in the same conference as a team in North Carolina, especially when there are more viable alternatives.

Which 2020 five-star is under the least pressure?

Bossi (@Eric Bossi ):
It’s actually the tandem of Tennessee-bound five-stars
Jaden Springer and
Keon Johnson. Don’t get me wrong, there will be high expectations for Springer (a high scoring, physical two) and Johnson (an electric athlete) during their first year in Knoxville. However, Rick Barnes and the Vols should return enough experienced players and have enough guys around them to allow Springer and Johnson to ease into things. The flip side is that if they are as good as hoped upon arrival, then Tennessee is going to make a serious run at an SEC title and perhaps even a Final Four.”

Yes, please! I’d love to see a Final Four banner up in TBA with a title!

Rivals did their "updating" of their players rankings this week. First off, I can't figure out what the basis of any changes would be since there haven't been any camps going on where you could do competitions analysis.

I know some people on here don't like Rivals but they did rank our 2020 class higher than any of the other services.

But this time around with nothing happening where they could evaluate the players, it seems that every player who committed to Tennessee got dropped in his ranking. Can somebody explain that to me, other than the regular "they hate us" which I honestly believe applies to ESPN?
"Deeper dive" into film. There were some camps pre shutdown.

Fwiw don't think anyone actually dropped. Maybe there was 1. The rest just had someone or a few people behind them get a bump, so logically they had to go down a relative spot. That's not being evaluated lower, just holding.

I’m just waiting for @nicksjuzunk verdict that dude can tell if you ate clean or not.it looks like JG tried to and then said f*** it at the end.
1. JG appears to have put on a bit of fat, based on baggy clothes pics, so hard to tell.
2. Off-season, 3 months from kick off, so not one care to give. Timing is everything. Could literally take an easy diet of a pound a week for the next 8 weeks, then easily two pounds a week through practices and be 16 pounds lighter, with minimal effort for a college athlete
3. Speed is not a strength of his anyways. He’s not a physique athlete. My mans can carry some fluff and be fine.

Just a random thought. Cade mays is a JR this year correct? He very well may go pro after his JR year and will not return for the 2021 season. If his eligibility request is denied, it wouldn't be the end of the world.

If he is here only a single season it's arguably a better situation to have him next year rather than this year based on how our schedule and depth chart will look. We should be loaded in 2021 and possibly make a run at the SEC championship.
