Y'all, I want you to know how awesome @StoVol is. As some of you will recall, I'm trying to figure out how to get the OH and I setup with iWatches because of his health (I didn't say so at the time but he is in hospice care although we're hopeful that we can eventually 'graduate' from hospice back to palliative and skip out on the whole dying thing). I'm his primary caregiver and so being able to monitor his vitals and step outside of the room without having to worry that he might fall or need something and be unable to contact me is something that I view as a potential godsend (and I'm deadly serious about that - the stress that will relieve is something I look forward to more than I can properly express) and something the iwatches will enable us to do once we're able to get them. However, to do that we needed an iphone as well because post-fire I'd bought a cheap android which makes getting all this setup a fairly expensive endeavor, especially given our circumstances. So I asked y'all if you knew where I might find a good deal on iwatches and iphones etc. because I know a lot of y'all are phone nerdz and smarties even though you don't always act like it. ;) Y'all provided some good weblinks for electronics stuff and I'm def. using them and super-thankful for the help there too.

Well, StoVol was all like "yo! I got an older one lying around will that work?" and boom in less than a week I get a very nice iphone 6 plus in the mail from him. I offered to at least let me pay him postage and he wouldn't even take that. He also included some extra cords and a plug-in. And I gotta say, he treats his stuff super nice because it's in mint condition. So, I nominate StoVol as our Volunteer of the Week! He embodies the spirit of what it's all about to be a part of this fanbase and family. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you! I'm 1/3rd of the way there thanks to you!

Pay it forward. I love my VN family! We have way too many Uncle Festers but I love you all anyway.

I nominate frank to put a multiple like button in because I like this many times. @StoVol, you and others are the embodiment what the RF and VolNation is. UTProf, I trust if you need anything else, you’ll let us know. I work in a place that has hospice for some residents.

As someone who's met @StoVol , I can confirm, you won't find a better dude.

Improper squat technique imo

One line of thinking common on VN about this game, that I hope the team is not thinking...

“We can’t make any mistakes if we want to win.”

Mistakes will be made. Being afraid of mistakes tends to lead to mistakes.

Just play ball. If the breaks go against you, put on more steam.

We don’t have to be perfect to win this game. We just have to end up with more points than them. Trying to be perfect produces timidity. Just play. Be physical. Be aggressive. Make plays. Forget being perfect.

I love this thread. It’s a family.

We have something very special here and I'm glad to be a part of it. I wish the world worked more like way we do here in the RF, especially here in this thread. We have folks from all walks of life, all colors, all different religious and political beliefs, and we'll argue and fuss with each other all the time about this or that but very few hold grudges or take the arguments to a truly mean level unless it's about coffee or lebron vs mj (then things get real). But in here when people are going through things, people just help each other with stuff whether it's a personal issue, family, health, financial, lawn care, how to properly use a smoker, dealing with loss, newborns, weddings, advice on a tricky situation, just needing to hear something funny or uplifting or whatever. Someone will be there to help a brother or sister however they can even if it's just the right words at the right time. I don't know how we got forged into a such a big crazy extended family but we did.

Hey got a question. Has anyone heard if there is going a bowl season? I know they are planning a playoff but I haven't heard about if they are doing bowl season and if so how many since there aren't as many teams playing this season? I'll hang up and listen. Oh, and GBO!!

Good question.

Most bow games are socially distanced anyway with the usual low attendance aside from the bigger bowls.
