In all seriousness though, it is interesting that another former Saban assistant and current SEC HC, Fisher, is not included in the chat. I wonder if he was just not on the chat that particular day, or if he is just not part of that circle?

Jimbo is a little older and more established I think. He was with Saban at LSU and was out of the SEC for a long time. I guess he coached with Muschamp 15 years ago, but wouldn’t have ever worked with Kiffin or Pruitt. Makes sense to me.

This year...

I just found out about my good friend and fishing buddy lost his battle with cancer yesterday. Loved his family, friends, and The Vols. One of the greatest people ever. He was a respiratory therapist at the hospital where I worked. We worked together in the ER for years. He pushed around his computer and cart with a bucket of candy. You see working in an ER can beat you up. You see tragedy non-stop. You get treated terrible. It makes you question life choices. Tim would see that in your face, walk over and put his arm around you and say “you know this is just temporary buddy”. He would then hand you piece of candy and say “I’m proud of you”. He would call me on Veterans Day just to say thanks. We fished together often. Really going to miss my friend.

He graduated from UT. Huge Vol fan. Had a million Alabama jokes.

He actually ran for governor once 😂.

Worked in medical tents on pit row at Daytona every year.

He had two degrees one in chemistry. He made the best “juice”. Couple of drinks and those Alabama jokes were hilarious.

Not asking for sympathy. I feel bad for the world losing a great kind soul. Asking everyone to raise a glass to Tim tonight. VOL FOR LIFE

Very sorry for your loss my friend.

Sorry to hear man

Thanks errbody. As you can imagine this year has had a huge impact on me. I've decided to change course and rely on the Lord more and just be kind and giving when the opportunity arises.

Deep down I'm just a sarcastic prick. But 2020 has been the most terrible and also the best year I've had. Done a couple other things I won't speak on but the blessings have returned Sevenfold from those as well.

I appreciate y'all and try to remember every day that each blade of grass is a miracle. Every living thing. And also the non living things.

I was thinking the other day that the very last thing God created was woman, then it was finished. So I encourage all you guys to pay it forward by making your mother's, sisters. Aunt's, cousins, daughters, etc. To feel cherished today.

We are the dumb brutes entrusted with protecting, nourishing, and relying on that last creation.

Git Sum!

Our God is teaching us all a lesson. It isnt new, he taught Israel same lesson over and over. Reliance.

Some have clarevoyance, some don't.

Guys and Gals.....
I've got a feeling that we are going to get it done tomorrow. When Butch was here I felt good going into some of those big games thinking we had a good chance to win, but it feels different this time. Tomorrow is going to be the turning point for Tennessee football....people are going to start taking notice.

Maybe, but it's more fun to think the other Saban kids are snubbing him.

Departing for Athens shortly. A few breaks go our way and I think we sneak out with a W. The last time I was in athens for a game JJ made me one of the happier guys on the planet....I hope I leave again feeling the same way.
GO VOLS
LETTUCE!!!!

I have a strangely similar feeling as I did heading into the Auburn game 2 years ago. I thought the game was in a great spot for us to pull the upset. Man, I hope we can get this done tomorrow!

I just don’t buy this kind of talk about Being the biggest game in 13 years. This is still a nothing to lose kind of game imo. In order for a
Game to be of the magnitude this story suggest there has to be plenty to win and lose. I just don’t Think any kind of loss changes the course of the future for this program. Jmo

No a loss won't hurt us or set us back but a win is BIG. A win like this will put us further into national relevancy and in the SEC title conversation.

I'm probably more excited for this game than any game in 13 years due to the fact that we have nothing to lose. This is a huge come up game or all the nay sayers just say told you so. Also this a huge game where everyone is healthy and playing, who knows how much longer we are going to be able to see that in a year like 2020.

Yea it’s a good feeling not having anything to lose and a reasonable shot at winning a lot more.

So sorry to hear. Remember the good times, and it sounds like he made many of them.
