2022 tackle situation is alarming.

I think Wanya goes pro after ‘21.
Looks like, barring a drastic turnaround, we should get a full four years out of Darnell Wright.

So that’s one tackle.

Outside of that.... our ‘20 class was all interior guys, save for Reginald Perry. Our ‘21 class of Gooch, Parker, and Smith - two of the three are major projects.

Looks like as of today It’ll be Wright and Parker at tackles in ‘22

Of course a lot can change between now and then. No telling who comes (or goes 😐) via transfer.

Really wish we were landing one more “blue chip” tackle type this class.
Wanya needs to show drastic improvement to leave after next year. Nothing I've seen so far this year suggests he'll leave early. He'll need to show more to improve his draft stock.

Not good. But hopefully the coaches go out and add a couple tackles to this class.
We have 3 committed, they're just not blue chips. Doesn't mean they won't be better than rated. As far as blue chips go, who is there to go after? If we miss on Mims, it would have to be a flip target, and I'm not sure of any that have expressed interest in UT.

I was thinking we had quite a few guards committed. My fault. Hopefully one of em will be ready.

Man, we miss on Mims and Zachary, I really hope the team is ready for Saturday. Not sure my heart could handle an upset loss. That would take it from a punch in the gut to a punch in a much more sensitive area.

UNC cycling up out of nowhere kind of put a wrinkle in things as well. There are some NC guys that we probably would get if they weren't doing as well.
2022 is also important as it seems that Tennessee will be cycling up. We need to absolutely hit on in-state targets next year and I think it could be a top 5 class.

There is still lots of football to be played this year and still 2 months until signing day. Four months ago, I did not think we would have football this year. This year is just a bonus year. Our defense is for real, if we can just keep them from being on the field all game. Just a little help from the offense is all we need to win the majority of our games.

Yeah I've noticed this 22 class in state looks good. Its very important that we get who we want in that class.
We typically don't get who we want in state, we probably shouldn't expect next year to be any different. We'll get some but the higher rated prospects typically go elsewhere with a few exceptions.

The more everyone keeps freaking the f out, the more y’all lose sight of the way we finished last recruiting cycle up. Especially if we keep almost every single player in the current class, then you can guarantee that this staff will pull out at least one surprise flip/surprise commit outta nowhere, a la Malachi Wideman, Morven Joseph, etc....y’all need to calm your teets
