His avatar is a surrender flag? His last post indicated he was done? There was a few that bucked a few of his posts during the game, me being one of them. It was a rough 2nd half and EVERYONE had their stinger out. @Catbone if I offended you I apologize, come on back man

His account is still accessible. Not sure why you can't tag him if so. Maybe @Freak can clear it up?

I've been avoiding the game threads during the game for the most part. Just popping in from time to time. It gets pretty crazy. People post things that they don't really mean. I've been guilty of that from time to time.

While it's not a bad way to finish by any means I think it reinforces the point that some here are making. That it keeps us on the current course, not closing the talent gap but preserving the current state so to speak.

I don't get all hate for Gary Danielson. I know he licks the sweat from UGA's and bama's , but its a nationally televised show and those are the best two teams in the SEC right now. Of course he's going to gush about them every chance he gets, its where his bread is buttered. In football respect is earned and with the exception of having a decent little win streak in the last half of the season last year against sub par teams, the Vols have been God awful in football for the last four years.

It's one thing to acknowledge that they are good. It's annoying when he acts like it's impossible for Tennessee to make a good play like when he thought Josh Palmer was out on his TD.

He called me a clown because I responded to him enjoying UGA winning after one of his emotional posts. I think I need to avoid game threads because people overreact so much. Probably not healthy.

What a load of horsecrap...these guys are supposed to be objective and unbiased, they are not paid to be cheerleaders for favorites and openly even brazenly root for them..

Hey, anyone who was watching the telecast last night...they’ve been talking a lot about the Dodgers strategy of trying to get the pitch count up and, honestly, I don’t know if that is too out of character for them. But did I hear Smoltz correctly...was he saying he thought that might be contributing to the quiet bats? It did seem like they were more aggressive in the 9th.

If so, that would definitely fall under bone headed mismanagement by Roberts (implementing a strategy that runs counter to your team strength).

Maybe I didn’t hear it right, though.

With about 4 mins left to go in the half, Danielson started with the “If I’m Jeremy Pruitt, I think I’m pretty happy to get to halftime down 17-14.” BUT, we had the ball at midfield!

I can’t fathom why he would even bring that up. That’s the kind of thing you say when a team has the ball on its own 25 with 40 seconds left on the clock. We were driving to (and did) take the lead. What was he advocating we do, kneel 3 times and punt?

Meh. If you're going to play the game Cat plays, you better have thick skin. He has to expect harsh responses. Hell, I've always assumed that's what he's fishing for. You don't neg like crazy and expect to get no response.
