JG just balled tf out. It IS weird with how TERRIBLY he played vs UK...but no way he sits after that performance. Hopefully his mojo keeps up (oh and we keep throwing PA passes FFS...)...

Wow!!! How low are our expectations that scoring 17 points and going 13/24 for 160 is balling out.

JG was Darn near perfect today. The play calling and game plan was directly tied to the 17pts. There was no reason why we weren’t more aggressive with the play calling the way JG was playing and the the way the OL was protecting.

No, judging 20 basketball games would be equivalent to judging the same football team for over 2 full seasons.

You're passing over what I'm talking about...plays per game, or total instances and sample sizes. There are 100 plays, roughly, for each team in a basketball game. Football, about 70.

So, after 5 football games that is about 350 plays...or equivalent to 3.5 basketball games...yet a basketball season is 30+ games. No one is making final judgments of a basketball team 3-4 games into the season. It's even worse compared to the NBA (82+ games)...a mere 4-5% of their season.

Bill Connelly has talked a lot about why this is so hard to nail down football SoS, because instances/sample sizes are so limited.

Can't tell if serious. Entire team had 211 yards 😂🤣😭 watched the game...they got a pick on the PSU 4 yd line and a pick on their 38 yl. Indiana offense was ATROCIOUS.

They won in spite of Penix jr...dude threw for 4.7 ypa 😭 1td 1int and -18 rush yds 😭 turrrrible!

How do you mean didn't try to get back in it?

He went for an onside kick and kept starters in till 5 or so minutes. General play calling? What did you want more or less of?

Honestly my biggest gripe was kicking a FG in the first half.

I’m talking the runs on 3rd and 5 and 3rd and 7 and the conservative play in most of the 3rd quarter when we still had a chance to get the score within 2 scores. Then again after the late 3rd qtr touchdown , we shut it down again with conservative playcalling. A defeatist attitude and he was not playing to win.
I agree with you on the FG.
