So I've had time to cool off and think about things and I think I understand how/why Pruitt has approached this season and the playing guys who have practiced quote says it all.
Our program was one of the hardest hit by Covid protocols. We had chunks of position groups unable to prepare. Pruitt has shown this year and past years that he will play young players.....Alontae, Bryce, Henry T., Tillman, Keyton, Spraggins, Slaughter, Hyatt and has tried getting Wideman reps the last two games.
JG and Shrout were the only 2 QBs who got any fall practice. BM was hurt and Bailey was in the protocol. Up until the last 2 weeks we have all touted our staffs ability to develop but they didn't have that opportunity this year due to Covid.
We also lost JJ, Callaway, Tuli and Warrior from last year and their replacements got no off-season. We need to chill on the "can't develop" narrative and understand how far behind the 8 ball we are this year.
We went with who we thought would get us wins in the first half of the season and we looked pretty good for 2.5 games....we have looked terrible the last 2.5 games.
We also have had a lot of guys banged up. Get healthy over the bye and get some more practice for the young guys. Recruits seem to understand the position we are in so fans should be able to. After this recruiting cycle we are going to have a ton of young talent.
We will get back to competing with anyone soon. Stay the course.
