Last year Pruitt coached to win.
This year Pruitt coaching not to get blown out.
JG or bust, don't care what happens to the program short term or long term, he gives me the feels.
Pruitt will not let Chaney run the offense to score/win because that will expose JG even more.
JG threw 6 balls flat-footed, zero pressure, yesterday and wasn't even in the same zip code of the open WR.
Our secondary is just bad. Very bad. Zero improvement from last year. Just throw it in the middle of the field and someone will be wide open. Can't play zone when you get zero push on the line.
D line plays patty-cake with opposing O lines, didn't see a single hurry or pressure yesterday. Not one.
Gray comes to play, but needs to improve balance, still goes down by shoestrings.
Tons of talent being wasted and not developed in a year where eligibility doesn't count.
Wideman and Hyatt should be running to the house every play.
The team had a defeatist attitude before the ball was even kicked off yesterday and that comes directly from the head coach.
Why didn't we play to win the game yesterday when we had absolutely NOTHING to lose?
Good luck Pruitt, the hole you are digging is getting huge quick!

That was my thought as well. However, if they straight trash the Arkansas game then a Vandy win and 1-4 finish is possible.

Well yeah I mean we aren’t good enough to just show up and win against anyone honestly. But everybody left also has their warts.

After the UK loss I was feeling 5-5 with those wins. Hope to look like a different team after the bye and maybe have a chance at 6-4. But I’m thinking 5-5

I am telling you that Bama fans are waiting for it. They would love to get Pruitt back to improve that defense.

The losing 2 games part is a bit premature.
You missed the big “if” in the sentence. I hope that isn’t the case and we turn it around.

I think this staff is not recruiting enough good players and they also keep flip flopping players positions and position coaches so how are they supposed to really develop into anything?
You gotta flip flop to close on recruits. Guessing Pruitt tells kids they can play whatever position they prefer just to get them to come here. Crouch is just one example. I’m starting to agree he should be a rb, but nope.

I just watched the replay of the Indiana 2 point conversion, and I am shocked they called that good. The nose of the ball clearly hits white out of bounds before the pile on.
Terrible call by terrible officials. Why even have replay, they missed half the calls

This year i agree. If this season goes truly south like 3-7 south. I would just hope that Pruitt would resign to find a cushy DC job and we hand the keys to tee or ansley
Definitely Tee. Definitely not Ansley. If we need to hire a new HC and it’s not a very proven one (Freeze), then give me Tee or some other VFL. I know they will at the least give their all and never quit with these conservative crap game plans.

This team is just poorly coached. Even my friends who are fans of other teams just shrug at our coaching. We have talent in the system now but a coaching change won’t happen with the extension and the lack of funds coming in this year. Bad break but it fits with the last decade.
There is the possibility of capitalizing on the talent we have, I just don’t think it will happen

No joke. Tee would have moved on from JG last year. And we act like we have to keep Pruitt for recruiting. It would be even better under Tee.

So I've had time to cool off and think about things and I think I understand how/why Pruitt has approached this season and the playing guys who have practiced quote says it all.

Our program was one of the hardest hit by Covid protocols. We had chunks of position groups unable to prepare. Pruitt has shown this year and past years that he will play young players.....Alontae, Bryce, Henry T., Tillman, Keyton, Spraggins, Slaughter, Hyatt and has tried getting Wideman reps the last two games.

JG and Shrout were the only 2 QBs who got any fall practice. BM was hurt and Bailey was in the protocol. Up until the last 2 weeks we have all touted our staffs ability to develop but they didn't have that opportunity this year due to Covid.

We also lost JJ, Callaway, Tuli and Warrior from last year and their replacements got no off-season. We need to chill on the "can't develop" narrative and understand how far behind the 8 ball we are this year.

We went with who we thought would get us wins in the first half of the season and we looked pretty good for 2.5 games....we have looked terrible the last 2.5 games.

We also have had a lot of guys banged up. Get healthy over the bye and get some more practice for the young guys. Recruits seem to understand the position we are in so fans should be able to. After this recruiting cycle we are going to have a ton of young talent.

We will get back to competing with anyone soon. Stay the course.

No. He's pond scum. Don't want him as my coach.
They probably all are to some extent or the other. There are plenty of potential rumors out there from a couple of places on our current head coach. Since he is here and not winning, we might as well go out there and get someone who can win. Freeze is proven and has won everywhere he has been, even liberty. Everyone deserves second chances… How do you know he hasn’t changed his ways?

The only thing that gives me hope is after the bye week in each of Pruitt's first two seasons he played a sh*t ton more freshmen. Last season Tank never saw the field early in the season similar to Key, by the end Tank never left the field. I get what Pruitt was saying, if these freshman didn't get to practice due to covid you can't throw them out there because they are bigger stronger faster. It's bye week, every position is fair game and everyone is a veteran now.
