I just don't see it happening. He has a soft spot for the kid or something. I think he is making a mistake. JG may be a great practice QB, strains , and does things the right way. It is not translating to the field. The head coach should know and feel the pulse of the team. I think he has a morale problem .
Thanks! It’s actually my wife’s. I got it for her for her 40th bday, but I can’t help myself to not mod anything! I’ve had quite a few JKs the last 10 years, and we love the new JL platform.

I can’t believe you all are buying this.Jeremy Pruitt's reasoning for not playing young players is a good sign for Vols
So Pruitt's saying there are bigger stronger and faster players on our team, but he won't play them because they haven't earned it.
CJP doesnt think, nor do the others, that they have another choice. Which, truly is an indictment, why have Maurer and Shrooot not progessed as backups?I can definitely see where JG looks amazing in practice.
He’s going up against a defense that can’t get to the QB and can’t cover.
But on game days, he is so slow and can’t improvise. Idk.... he’s a huge liability. I don’t see how CJP doesn’t realize that.
Yea, there’s a def a point of gaudiness that some Jeep owners reach!! Grumper bumpers are hideous! Not a fan of light bars either.Seems like Jeep owners mod the f out of wranglers. I have a ‘19 Sahara Unlimited and I love the clean look. All it has is a lift with bigger tires and that’s all it needs. To each their own but no way in hell I’d ever put up ridiculous angry face grills or even light bars etc
In about 16 years, you're gonna need a shotgun and just remember this phrase for the guys who want to date her----"I don't mind going back to prison". That should do itHahah. Yes!!!! And yeah she absolutely is. She’s already so loved & she’s not even out of the womb. I’ve always wanted to be a father. Life long dream. It’s just amazing how fulfilling it already feels and I’ve not even gotten to hold her
i think three things on this, and it's kinda always bugged me how we believe CJP should handle it, publically anyway. and this isn't aimed at just you, many, man posts of this ilk by a lot of posters....i think he and chaney do realize it. but they're never, ever gonna acknowledge it publically....i'm in the camp that simply refuses to believe that this collection of coaches simply "doesn't see"...I can definitely see where JG looks amazing in practice.

i think JG and Shrout have something to do with that too...and i still say we'll never know what could have been, had we had a realy QB competition from spring, thru summer in to Fall. so detrimental to the QB development, behind JG. cause i agree, he's hit the ceiling....CJP doesnt think, nor do the others, that they have another choice. JG has hit his ceiling.
truth is, and this may be hard for some to swallow...our QB's may just not be very good .i think JG and Shrout have something to do with that too...and i still say we'll never know what could have been, had we had a realy QB competition from spring, thru summer in to Fall. so detrimental to the QB development, behind JG. cause i agree, he's hit the ceiling....
fact is, we have no idea where the ceilings are for the other three, though i'd wager HB's is highest.
I think the 85 scholarship limit changed the landscape for everyone. That and the 25 scholarships per year has put more parity in the game and gave tons of outliers better players. Now, the "bluebloods" still get the cream of the 25 limit per year and that will never change. We just have to figure out how to get back to 'blueblood" status.Been thinking about a interview I heard on a Knoxville radio station a couple weeks ago and wondering what the opinions of this theory would be on here. Before I go on please understand I didn't grow up a Vol fan. So while I continue to learn the history of the program realize I don't have the same perspective as some as I didn't move to TN until 2006. Started rooting for the Vols in 2010ish and a season ticket holder in 2015. So I missed the glory years and would really like to get back to that so I can experience it first hand.
I won't say the station or the person making these comments at first because I already know most would tune it out just based on that haha. But the interviewee brought up an explanation of our current status in the CFB landscape. On the surface it makes sense. But didn't know if he was just hating on UT. He said one big reason we are struggling is because of how CFB has exploded over the last 20 years and tv deals probably hurt teams like us and Nebraska the most. Mainly because almost every game is on TV or a streaming service and everyone has weekly access to almost every team now. Where as in the 80s and 90s we were regularly featured on a national broadcast and kids from all over the south followed us. Many of them came to UT so they could play on a big stage in front of a national audience on TV. Which is why CPF could go into South Carolina (and other surrounding states) and recruit big name players to come to UT. He continued by saying our expectations as fans haven't caught up with the effect TV has had on our program. Also mentioned its hard on us because Tennessee isn't really a power state in terms of high school talent on a national scale.
On the surface it makes sense. I just wondered what the opinion was on this from some of you seasoned UT vets. For the record I don't like this guy as he is a big UT hater. Just found this outlook interesting.
not 100% sold that we walked away from Martinez as much as it may have been a mutual thing. he liked NE and Frost, and when they got together, it made that situation way more attractive. Helton and Pruitt did travel and visit him in home....so there had to be some ineterest in pursuing him. i'd imagine that it just wound up being a mutual deal....truth is, and this may be hard for some to swallow...our QB's may just not be very good .
Maurer has most potential iyam. But as one expert said TN messed up when they cut ties with Adrian Martinez. HB and Salter are future.
Martinez is just slightly better than JG. He is already splitting time with a FR and will more than likely lose his job to him.truth is, and this may be hard for some to swallow...our QB's may just not be very good .

I've thought that very same thing for a very long time. What does it say about our other QB's if they're so bad in practice against that same defense? ScaryI can definitely see where JG looks amazing in practice.
