Yes to all 3 of these.

10 game SEC schedule would only make matters worse. The elite would stay elite by beating everyone. The middle of the pack would beat each other up every year and keep things status quo. I would rather play Mizzou every year than Auburn. We need as easy of a road as possible to climb out of the dumpster. I don’t care what people would say, I would not hate moving to the ACC. A&M and Mizzou got some flack but people got over it quick. We would win ten games a year easily and be a playoff contender quickly.

AM and Mizz moved to a tougher conference though. They could both win 8 every year in the B12

College football is essentially a monopoly with the top 4 teams. There is absolutely no parody and few real upsets. Clemson, UGA, Bama and Ohio State then all the rest. Even good programs like Penn State, Michigan, USC, Florida, Florida St, Tenn etc. are always a step behind even in their best years. Sure teams can break the mold and emerge like Clemson has recently but each year it gets worse and worse with recruits just piling into those 4 schools.

The defending national champion?

They aren’t regularly in contention. They had a good season but overall are not in the playoff every year.

Them winning last year proves there is no monopoly which you posted. Monopoly means exclusivity which you only have to look back one year to prove isn’t happening.

I get your point overall but I don’t think the playoff has caused this.
It’s great coaches with great facilities. I’ve heard people say expansion of the playoff will stop this and I think that’s hogwash. Does anyone really think Bama, Clemson or Ohio state wouldn’t beat Cincy or BYU by a large margin? I don’t care to see that to be honest

Yes to all 3 of these.

Number 1 was a multiple choice.
