I don’t get the impression that Pruitt is just letting Chaney run the offense. I think there are a lot of restrictions in place.
Then I don't want Chaney for OC or Pruitt as head coach. If that scenario is indeed true Pruitt has the sample size to see he is limiting the offense. And if Chaney allows someone else to hamstring an offense with his name on it he's a fool.

question just for discussion. In the long run would it benefit us if jg came back next year and bailey redshirted this starting his 3rd year as a rs fr

I believe most have been sucked up into the PF this week. Hell, as someone that swore I’d never touch that place, I’ve lurked and it’s been very entertaining (and toxic). I’ve lowered my IQ. In my defense, cheap entertainment 😒.
It’s a hoot that’s for sure lol couple days over there. I’m back here full time for at least another 4 years 😅

I am also, I hope there’s not the same cleansing protocol that we have to follow after going to the FF.
I migrate through the RF, PF, and the Zone on a regular basis with occasional stop-overs in other forums just for kicks, and I never bother with these cleansing protocols. Of course, it helps that I'm so spiritually enlightened.

I’m lacking on the enlightened part. I don’t have the fortitude. I have a passing interest and that’s where it ends.

Which sucks because other universities do and it ends up working out for them.I believe in playing freshman if they are better no need in waiting.
It "works out for them" if you focus on the best possible cases...i.e. it's easy to think of TLaw...or...hmm Fromm? But what most people never see on Sportscenter or never see in the playoffs are all the failed attempts. Survivorship bias.

Everyone is feeling apathy since the KY game. We need a win in a big way. Or a coaching search.
I don't get apathy. As if some big goal is suddenly out of sight. We weren't winning a natty. Not expected at all to get to Atlanta.

The season's expectations was always a spectrum of sorts. I think, if any there is any goal, it is to see progress as a team and maybe win a game against the big 3. We have 5-6 more games to see that...

Maybe, but it rings a little more hollow with a loss against one of the bottom three.

You're right though, all we really needed was to show progress. The loss to Kentucky put that on the skidz. We desperately need to close strong and build toward next year.

I think by the margin of loss, yes it sucks.

But someone made a good point earlier that coming into the season winning 2 of 3 vs USCe, UK, Mizzou would be right on par. I mean, in our game vs USCe we were billed as an underdog by fpi. A small favorite by Vegas. Add the Mizzou and UK game and we were expected to drop 1 of those games a whopping 2/3 of the time.

Just because teams are "the bottom 3" doesn't mean we have a big gap there yet, nor that their combined win expectations is below 50%. For that to be the case (our odds of beating all 3 is above 50%), we would essentially have to start being double digit favorites in every game vs USCe, Mizzou, and UK...
