At the risk of being political: Vaccine has to happen soon. American people will not stand still for this so-called "new normal" much longer. Need to get it done, get it out there and get things, including SEC FOOTBALL back to normal.
if the projections are correct, vaccine should be in distribution for the public in spring/summer 21....i think they can have football operations run "normally" under the current mesures taken by the conference and universities....provided there's not any outbreaks that cause shut downs, either locally or what have you....

all that said, it's certainly safe to say it's all TBD at this point.

they had a good point on the pod cast...if they were losing the team, yould probalby of seen more guys start to opt out by now...that' snot happening.

Shamburger has walked the line of being in/out of the dog house for ~2 years now. that's probalby not a referendum on the roster's attitude............................................
Excellent point. Example: look at MS State. Multiple transfers, opt-outs, and quitting to prep for draft.

"He's not ready." "Harrison's done a really nice job for us, but he needs experience." "Jarrett gives us the best chance to win." "Jarrett's our guy, aight."

Take your pick.
At this point what does it matter. Bailey will be ready next season if he gets valuable game experience now. Cause I am going to be very ticked off if Pruitt comes out next year saying Bailey is young and hasn't had a lot of reps.

Majors had a national championship at Pitt backing him up.
I’m talking about a failed SEASON and a coach not waiting to start fixing what was broke. Fired a legendary DC, replaced him with the RB’s coach, switched a RB to CB, made Shazzon Bradley a DT after switching the scheme from 3-4 to a 4-3 AND winning the last 5 games. The next season? 11-1 and the beginning of a winning era. Yeah Majors had won a NC at another school...THAT didn’t repair what was broke.

and it was a full decade removed from that magical season at Pitt....

what majors did in 88 made a big difference. it does feel like we're in that same area right now....it's time for some fixin'.

If he’s even attending class. But if you’re academically suspended, you can’t attend team functions is my guess.
But students are only "evaluated" so to speak at the end of a semester right? Meaning you have to be enrolled in enough hours at the start of the semester to be eligible, but you technically aren't flunking until the end of the semester when you receive a grade. Can they suspend you academically for skipping class, or having bad grades mid-semester?

I always thought it worked that way because you hear about guys being academically ineligible before the bowl games. They could have been (and probably were) flunking all semester long/not attending class, but they technically don't rule them ineligible until the end of the semester and grades have come in, which is always between the end of the regular season and bowl season. I heard that about Cordarelle Patterson when he was here - dude was enrolled in enough hours, but never attended class and would have been ineligible for a bowl game had we made one.

Anyone hear AL.com Blake Topplemeyer on Finebaum yesterday? He said he thought SEC Office had softened on allowing Freeze in SEC. Also felt Liberty extension was just a way they pick up more $$$ when Freeze is hired away. He also mentioned that Freeze would prefer SEC.

Yeah but im going to troll with it until I cant

The simple, most sad yet hilarious thing is that Pruitt could lead this team to a 2-8 finish but as long as he played Bailey everyone would say, "hey, its cool, we are getting him reps for the future, we get it, we'll take our lumps now." Its so easy. The fans would give him a hall pass ,no problem and yet he won't take it. In a year that I don't care what anyone says, does not count. Everyone sees the caveat whether they care to admit it or not. The Dodgers won the world series but we all see the asterisk.

Why play a guy that is universally hated and lose the fanbase, the team, your job security when you could just get the freshman reps he desperately needs?

We are in a simulation, that is the only explanation.

I know it's all been discussed to death. Blah Blah. Fire Chaney, play Bailey or this puppy will die.

Part of your scholarship is class attendance. Guess they don’t have to wait to evaluate.
