Friend, Weinke, and Chaney rejected pay cuts? The worst coaches on our staff? Fire them immediately

Wouldn't be surprised if several of these fools are hoping to be let go.

Reading that about Tee and Jay has lit a fire under my ass.

Fulmer and the two above were the only ones to opt in to the pay cut to help out. All these other cats can kick rocks for all I care.

If we're going to be a shitshow on the football field, might as well reward the guys who care about the place.

Wow. We all knew the coaches were here for money, but to see they declined to help the university is sad.

Agree. I think our WRs have improved as a position group. Unfortunately, we haven’t had a QB played who can get them the ball...yet

Like wtf, it’s your first year at a big school being the coach at your respective position, but you don’t want to take a cut after Fulmer and Pruitt stuck their necks out and took a chance on y’all? Smh those two need to be shown the door first.

true. i was one to talk about missing fitz. but we really haven't had an opportunity, for a whole off season, to miss him.

Weinke and Friend should go before anyone else, IMO. And I'm not tied to Chaney if we can get someone more creative. And none of that is based on pay cuts, it's based on perceived performance. A contract is a contract. We can bitch and moan about pay cuts and who took them, but I'm not going to hold that against anyone. It is what it is.

This is why they shouldn’t have to be asked to take a pay cut especially when you have coaches making double or even triple their salary. Those coaches need to be shown the door.

if i remember right, the news about pruitt not taking the $400k raise, and fulmer taking a pay cut, that all came out months ago.

i'd imagine these coaches probalby turned down the pay cuts around that same time.

That should've been the plan from game 1 this season. But I guess its better late then never.

It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't kind of thing in game one. If we started HB at QB against USCe, I am guessing we lose. However, he would have gotten experience and we may win against UK and Arkansas.

I think the staff was trying to have it both ways- win early and hope to develop HB more as the season goes along. But it backfired.
