I used to think this was crazy but I genuinely believe there’s something to be said for fit and if he could surround himself with great coaches — which a school like Tennessee has the resources to do — it might make me a little Tee-curious.

Its kind of like Dabo. He had no experience at Clemson, but he was a guy that fit. Tee is kind of that same mold, he's a guy that TN fans love, and the admin and boosters should be able to get behind him. He's always been spoken of as a well liked guy and is often said to be a great recruiter. So, after Pruitt inevitably fails next year move him into the position go find him 2 elite coordinators and give him 3-5 years and see what he can do. What do we have to lose at this point?

A whole lot harder to do when you make 40-60k/year than when you make 1.2 million or 800,000. You can still live just as comfortably as you want taking a 10% cut.

And yes, landing a top class is important. In a year like this, it’s more important than winning.

It always matters. Who actually wants to watch this team. Better yet, who actually wants to watch this team with another off season ? It’s awful football.

Next question though. What percentage are at the top of the heap and can afford to take the pay cut? Its a little different when you're still making over a million or a few hundred thousand vs 10% at 40k.

Are we really comparing a coach who never won The East to a National Championship coach? And Butch brought us our worst season in the history of our program. That deserves being fired. We fired Fulmer the year after winning the East and ten games. I think he deserved some slack even if he did have two five win seasons in four years. We have those all the time now. I don’t think any coach deserves to be here who can’t win more than three games. It’s not like the East has very many good teams.
