Have you heard anything about prominent people who supported Pruitt are now changing their tune as other posters have suggested? Does 3-7 really instill excitement going into next year and no fans showing up to games?

Yep.
3 scenarios:
1. Fire Pruitt now and let Chaney finish the season.
2. Fulmer gives Pruitt an ultimatum, bench JG or hit the road.
3. JG realizes he's the problem, benches himself, and the team rallies behind HB.

(I don't think any of these will happen. At this point, I expect JG to start again next week. If HB starts we win by 3 TDs. If JG starts, we lose by 7 or less.)

IDT it's true that Chaney isn't high on HB. Chaney can be flexible. Pruitt is the one who's locked into JG.

Do you think he just wants to be let go ? Man it's obvious JG is only good for a couple series a game. It's like he can't see the forest for the trees. That's the only explanation I can come up with.

Sure. Every loss comes with a loss of support. People are going to get more and more disgruntled with every loss. But if the aTm and UF games are played, UT will be double digit dogs in both. These are potential playoff teams. They're more talented than UT, and the smart money is against UT. This season hasn't gone well, it's unlikely to end well and nobody's happy about it.

What’s the second tier in your opinion? Where would that put us?

Second tier imo is exactly where UT should be, winning the division 3-4 times a decade with a couple of conference titles

Tony Elliott

We’ll call Fickell and Campbell and get turned down.

So you're telling us Pruitt is going to be here regardless next year. Chaney or Weinke will be the scapegoat and we will give Pruitt one more year.

A lucky run last season gave Jeremy/team an 8-5. The bowl game was a disaster that was saved in the final minutes. JG had been benched and brought in to pinch hit several times - at the start and during games. But we cannot forget just how awful Jeremy and the staff handled the first two games. The stench of GA State and BYU will never go away when he follows last season with this mess. Losing like they did to UK, Arky and now Auburn tells the story. We now know what normal is and it is unacceptable. He wants fired or he is just plain dumb.

That Pruitt answer about the fans really nails the coffin IMO. Can't stand up to the smallest of heat with his awful coaching and the QB stuff
