I am very high on Bailey, but come on. Bray did not just have a big arm. He had some head issues, for sure, but he was a great QB. And Dobbs set records. Is Bailey better than everyone else since Ainge? I need to see more, sorry.

Thanks for apologizing? 😉

I meant straight outta HS of course & stand by my opinion that Bailey is the best complete pure QB I have seen since Ainge.

The body of work speaks for itself. Throw in personnel and other issues, and you have to question the fit.

And when someone keeps digging that hole with two shovels, you have to question the motivation. But any idea of a negotiated buyout is fool's gold. He has a sweetheart contract and no incentive to renegotiate terms.
Why the hell did Fulmer give him an extension? Stupid decision.

I love you @LA Vol and the info you bring...seem to be dodging the question though which oddly gives me hope that you don’t know if Fulmer will or won’t make a change

Much like the Barnes decision, the amount of money involved and where it would come from-- among other things-- means this decision is being made at a higher level.

Then maybe he needs to be given motivation. Lots of different things can motivate people.

There were games there to be won, and he’d find a way to not complete them. Doesn’t meet my criteria of great QB. Up there with the most gifted throwers in our history.

Text I got from someone booster adjacent:
“Looking more and more likely a change is made. Gotta get a sense of where the top coaches are in regards to this job: call Fickell, Freeze, Campbell, etc. and gauge their interest. Belief inside the administration is Tee would be a more palatable choice than a mid-major coach with a spotty record.”

Again, I’m not saying lock this in stone or bet your mortgage on it - but I like to share the gossip.

I’d agree with this...if a change is ultimately made.

This team had played well enough to win 5 games this year at every position besides QB and K. We know from previous experience Cimaglia's play is the exception, not the norm. But JG is and has been a serious deficiency.

If Pruitt will make the move and start HB the rest of the year, I would support bringing him back next year. The fans would still come and support the team, he would finally be building for the future, and honestly the money isn't there to fire him. If he plays 2 next game, then he needs to be shown the door or there may not be 60k for most of the games next year.
