Assuming we keep Pruitt how in the heck is he supposed to recruit for next class?

1. He won’t care to recruit knowing it’s probably his last year.
2. Assistants won’t put in the grind it takes knowing they won’t be around much longer.
3. Can you imagine the amount of negative recruiting?

Sheesh just do it now.

I seriously wonder if all the preseason contact tracing and forcing healthy players to miss practice didn't just piss Pruitt off to the point of just not caring about this year. The comments that he's made about not wanting to put HB into harms way and all of the young guys not getting any playing time is his way of protecting them because they weren't able to practice and get ready like Pruitt wanted.....

Longstory short, Pruitt just said "to hell with it" in September when 40 guys were missing from practice and he's never recovered because the team is behind the 8-ball.
That explanation honestly makes a lot of sense. I also think he’s gun shy on play HB after what happened to Maurer.

Hugh Freeze is inconsistent.

The more I think about it though the more I feel like something has happened in season. Pruitt was coaching with some stones early in the year (i.e. going for it on 4th and short), but it seems like after the Kentucky debacle with JG he's been sedated.

The only problem with this logic (the first two points) is that most of them will look for other jobs and how does it look to another school if you just "mail it in" when things get tough?

I believe if someone does that it tells you more about the character than how they act when things are going well.

And you know what, it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see him after the Florida game announce his resignation. Even though it will cost him his buyout or whatever, I could see him resigning just because this wasn't what he thought it would be.
